We are two active, retired women, living in McCrae on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

We have a 6.5 year-old female border collie x poodle, accredited assistance dog, fully house-trained and vaccinated, she regularly attends obedience school. Her name is Betty; she doesn't shed hair and must be included in our house sits.

We live near the beach, so we enjoy summers at home ,unless you can tempt us with something special!

We're always up for a weekend away.

Before retirement, Joan was employed in public service for 25 years, and Lyndell was involved in aged care, specialising in dementia, palliative care and aged care education.

Having operated pet-friendly accommodations for over 20 years has given us insight into how people's pets are loved and are part of the family.

We are honest, reliable, non-smokers and light social drinkers. We are very much involved in our local community as active volunteers and we can provide excellent references.

We can happily supply positive feedback from our past travels, where we stayed with our pets. We can provide current police checks and a reference from our longtime veterinarian.

We love to travel and we are willing to house-sit in Melbourne, country Victoria and interstate. We live in a lovely home that we respect, and we would treat your home exactly the same.

Having been exposed to emergency situations over the years - with our tenanted properties and animals - has seen us calmly seek the best solutions for positive outcomes.

No rating We were so lucky to find Lyndell and Joan to look after our Stella, when we went overseas for a month. We have an elderly samoyed, Stella, who loves lots of affection and company. We were also travelling with two of our good friends, who have rescue dog called Maisie, an active black pointer/kelpie? We could not have been happier to have Lyndell and Joan (and dog Betty) come and care for our dear old dog Abi for 7 nights in March. They were friendly, confident and competent which was reassuring for us leaving our dog with an Aussie House sitter for the first time. They took exceptional care of Abi and sent us updates throughout the week. Abi was happy and fit and clean after their stay, and looked for them after they were gone. Lyndell and Joan were exceptional house and pet sitters. They genuinely cared deeply for our little dog, Tilly and continually kept us up to date with photographs and news while we were overseas. We could see that Tilly was very happy not only with finding terrific new Aunties, but also having the chance to spend time with her new bestie, Betty (Lyndell and Joan’s dog). We felt immediately at ease meeting Joan and Lyndal and very comfortable with them kindly offering to housesit for us, especially as this was our first time using this service. We had a very relaxed and stress free time away knowing Daisy the "goldie" and our home were in safe hands. Joan and Lyndal were terrific, their care of Daisy and our home was above and beyond! It was a positive experience for us all.
Lyndall and Joan were wonderful pet sitters. They communicated before, during and after their stay. They cared for my wonderful dog and she was happy and well when I returned. They sent photos throughout the stay, which showed how much fun she was having. I really apricate their introduction via Aussie House Sitters, allowing me to have a holiday and knowing all was in good hands. Thank you so much!

No rating We couldn't recommend Lyndell and Joan more highly! They are great to communicate with, arrived exactly at the time we agreed and instantly put us at ease leaving our home and much loved dog, Bruce, with them. They sent us updates over the weekend and we came back to a very clean home and very happy dog :) We will definitely use Lyndell and Joan again, I think Bruce would be very upset if we didn't!!
