Call me Carol or Caz, I answer to both.

My age is but a number, I am infused with a vitality that leaves my grandchildren exhausted.

I’m a Wannabe - published author, recognised actor, house/fur baby/ plant minder. I am definitely a non-smoker.

Respect - I practice respect. Respect for others and their privacy, respect for their property and their belongings and treat all animals with kindness and rest their idiosyncrasies..

Pets - If they could speak on my behalf from doggy and kitty heaven, I know they would echo what friends have said, “If I had to choose another life form to come back as after death, I’d choose to come back as one of your pets.”

From fish to rabbits, kittys to doggies pets entrusted to my care are treated as I cared for my own adopted pets adopted during the years I raised my family.

My kids, now with their own homes, have also adopted pets. They mimic what they observed and learned as children in caring for animals. They care for and love them as integral members in their respective family’s.

Trust - Trusting a stranger staying in your home to care for your pets and home is a big ask. I pride myself that pets readily take to me. Pussy cats rub against me and purr on my lap. Doggies snuggle into me or sit at my feet. I keep homes clean and tidy to the standard set by you, the owner.

Visitors - I feel it’s an obligation to discuss whether or not you mind if I have an occasional visitor. If not, that’s okay. I can meet friends and family elsewhere for a coffee/catchup.

Gardening plant care - Do I know about caring and nurturing gardens and plants? A Google search, "Carol's Hillside Oasis," will testify I do know what I’m doing with gardens and plants.

Cleanliness - Anyone who knows me or whom I’ve house sat or stayed with can verify I maintain a high standard (except for my most disliked chore - dusting) in caring for my own home, and also that I show respect for their homes when I visit.

Request - I will need somewhere to park my camper van, Millicent Mercedes during my stay.

We met Carol in person the day before our departure and our minds were immediately put at ease. The dogs quickly warmed to her, as did we and we had no hesitation in leaving them in her expert hands. Angus unexpectedly had some health issues, which Carol took in her stride. Carol’s updates on the antics of the boys kept us entertained and relieved that all was well at home. Caz did a terrific job looking after our house and pup and garden. It wouldn't have been an easy gig as our pup was stabilising on a special diet and our garden is extensive, inside and out. But Caz did everything we asked of her and maintained a good level of communication with us throughout, so we knew all was in hand. It meant we could relax and enjoy our holiday. Came back to a very content pup and a clean and orderly house and garden. Couldnt' have asked for more! Thanks Caz!

This was Caz’s first time doing a housesit. I was so impressed with her communication and how well she interacted myself, but more importantly with my dog and cat. Both animals loved her. While I was away Caz kept me updated with photos and messages about them. Caz had my house lovely and tidy on my return home. She fed and watered the birds and my plants.
