Sandra & Skafti

Hi, we are a family of three from Iceland who decided to follow our dreams and take a bit of a break from "normal" life - - travel, have adventures, and make memories! We also have two older children but they have already returned to Iceland for their schooling.

We have spent the past 18 months in New Zealand, where we lived in Auckland for one year before we were introduced to housesitting - which has allowed us to travel around the country.

We are now planning to visit Australia in early 2025, before returning home to Iceland.

Sandra has a job in project management and can work remotely from anywhere in the world (with internet access). Skafti is a builder who enjoys gardening and other projects around the house. Our son, Tindur, is 11 years old. He is such an animal lover and very active in sports.

We are pet and animal lovers - - back home we have a Persian cat named Freyr and a labrador named Tinna. They are being fostered by family members while we are away.

We are homeowners and understand the importance of trust when someone stays in your home. We will always treat your home as our own. We are very proud of the positive reviews from the NZ housesitting site and will make sure we leave your animals happy and snuggled, and your home tidy and clean.
