We are citizens of New Zealand originally from Holland and the UK, who have been working and travelling around Australia for the last 2 years. We sold our home, gave up our jobs and bought a 4x4 camper in order to fulfill our dream to travel overland to Europe, to visit our families. By not travelling by plane but slower, we are enjoying experiencing communities along the way. We are excited to be able to call Darwin home for the next 4 years while Dirk undertakes an apprenticeship here. We really enjoy the great outdoors and being active.
We have really enjoyed the experience of housesitting in this amazing diverse country these last 2 years. Prior to coming over, we owned previous houses and not only improved them, but made them a place you would call home. We consider ourselves to be reliable and responsible and look forward to looking after your home, as well as your furry loved ones, as we have previously cherished our own Lab X.

Dirk and Helen were simply amazing! From their initial communication and visit we knew they were a perfect fit. They kept us informed and reassured that the house was in order over the 5 weeks. We returned home to a house and garden that was immaculate. They kindly left us some flowers in a vase and added to our growing garden with some plants too. We cannot recommend Dirk and Helen enough, they truly went above and beyond.

Dirk and Helen were fantastic house sitters. They cared for our house as if it was their own and left it sparkling clean at the end of their stay. They clearly were experienced and knew exactly the things to check for before we went away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

These guys are simply amazing… would highly recommend & use Helen & Dirk again. All our animals needs were taken into consideration & exceeded the level of care we required. From our bearded dragon, chickens, cats, dogs & horses we were very happy with their care. They asked lots of questions & communication was awesome. Thank you again guys!

Dirk and Helen were an absolute pleasure to deal with, so friendly and showed our pets the best care while we were away. We came home to a very clean house and a very happy dog who had obviously had a great time. A lovely welcome note awaited us with a run down of what had been happening. I would highly recommend Dirk and Helen for any future house sits.

Dirk and Helen were incredible house sitters. We have just arrived home to a meticulously cleaned house, happy plants and garden and most importantly a very content dog. We received regular photos and videos of our dog at the beach having her own holiday with wonderful, caring pet sitters. I can’t recommend Dirk and Helen enough. Dirk and Helen are fabulous house sitters and I recommend them highly 😊 Coming home made me smile and happy. It started at the gate. Lawn mowed, paths and window cleaned and more. In the house was spotless and cleaner when I left. Thank you guys. My two cats were happily waiting at the door. And to top it off Santa has come and decorated my home and left a few surprises. Helen and Dirk were friendly, easy to communicate with and fully prepared for their housesit with us. They came early and got to know our pets and house. They kept us informed about things while we were away (not too much which we prefer) and left the house super clean and tidy. We would have them stay again anytime.

Helen and Dirk were absolutely fantastic sitters and lovely people! Great communication in the lead up and took the time to come meet us, our pets and see the house before we left.
