Leonie

Animals and gardens brings me great joy as does travelling. I am a non smoker who enjoys a quiet life. I provide references below (with email addresses) from people who I have either rented from or House sat in the recent past. Look forward to meeting you or talking to you. Have owned and cared for cats, dogs, gold fish.
I travel extensively OS and as a consequence dont have my own animals. I miss being able to walk the dogs. Now I prefer either 1 large dog (if dog requires walking) or 2 small. I am a retired Airforce Officer who now enjoys writing and doing various internet projects. I am capable of turning my hand to most things mechanical and electrical.
I have my own car, laptop and wireless mobile internet access (if needed).

I write this testimonial on behalf of Leonie who has just spent five weeks looking after my home and more importantly my two very elderly dogs who suffer with a degree of incontinence, amongst other things. Leonie provided them with all the care and attention that has always been lavished upon them and I returned to find my dogs, my fish and my garden thriving. Leonie looked after my home so well that when I walked back in it was as if I had never left.
I look forward to welcoming Leonie back when I again need to leave home.

Leonie looked after my House garden and cat for 4 months Feb-May 2015.We had good contact prior to me leaving which left me in great spirits to leave my home and cat. We kept in contact whilst I was away which was great knowing that my cat was very happy. On my return I found the house garden and one very happy cat all well looked after. I would even say my garden was in better shape than when I left it. The cat was obviously very spoilt and had put on some weight. I would recommend Leonie with any house sitting and I do hope to have her house sit for me again.

It is worrying leaving precious pets and possessions to be looked after by an almost stranger but I think we can now look on you as a friend and I am sure Poppy and Oliver do

Sonia, 5/2/2014 Dog and chicken sit .
Leonie house sat for us for 9 weeks (24 November 2013 until 27 January 2014) while we travelled through Europe this year. We came back to a spotlessly clean house and some very happy and well looked after dogs and chickens. Communication with Leonie was excellent both before and during our trip so that we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves without having to worry about anything back home. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Leonie as a housesitter and would be more than happy to have her mind our house and pets again in the future. Thank you so much Leonie. We wish you well and hope to see you again one day!

Leonie 'sat' our house and our two large dogs 25/3/2013 to 25/4/2013. This was the longest we had ever been away from the hounds. But the results were perfect. Leonie has a way with animals and the deerhound and saluki loved her. Being at home in their own environment was a big relief for us as they knew exactly what to do and when and showed Leonie the ropes so to speak. Leonie understands people and animals and was able to cater to their needs. We were also very grateful for Leonie dealing with a small disaster of our freezer 'blowing up' after 40 years ! She dealt with that very efficiently as in cleaning it out !! (nasty job) and we were most grateful for having her 'on the job' to deal with other 'household' enquiries that popped up in that time. We came back to happy hounds and we were entirely happy with the whole arrangement. Kaye and Stephen.
