We are the Mitchell family from Central California. David is a professor of Physics and Astronomy at Cal Poly, California State University. Kristyn has her Masters in Teaching and is homeschooling our daughter, Irene(15). Irene loves swimming, volunteering at our local cat shelter, performing with her drama program and taking care of our cat, a rescued Flamepoint Siamese, Olaf. Since our return from Aussie House Sitters, Irene has started her own local business of walking neighborhood dogs and pet sitting in California.

We enjoyed traveling and visiting New Zealand & Australia in 1994 and planned an extensive holiday in 2022 & 2023. We puppy sat in Melbourne and Sydney during our time in Australia. We really appreciate having the comfort of home while traveling and the flexibility pet sitting provided.

We come with references and look forward to continuing our experiences. We are a non smoking, educated, organized, clean, and animal loving, calm family that loves playing board games, movie nights, going for walks, and spending time reading on a couch with our cat snuggled on our lap. We own a two story three bedroom home near the Pacific Ocean with a beautiful yard that we manage and landscape. We are close to walking paths, a beach, and a community that supports our family and our values. Family is important to us, and if 2020 taught us anything, it taught us how important time together is to be considered a top value.

My husband's University has granted him an additional quarter of time to travel and we have chosen Australia, once again.

We would be honored if you would allow us to be a guest in your home and take care of your fur babies. We in turn would manage your home with our knowledge of yard maintenance, animal care, and treat your home as we hope our friend will treat our home while we are away.

We would be happy to set up a video call and meet you, answer your questions. We want to learn about what your hopes are for your home while you are away and how we can partner together to make that happen.

Kristyn, David and their daughter Irene were lovely to deal with. We left on holidays feeling like everything was left in good hands, and that was certainly the case. They impressed us as being very responsible towards our home, very caring towards our pets and very capable in regard to dealing with unforseen events. We have no hesitation in recommending the Mitchell family for any sit. We would happily welcome them back.

It was lovely to have Kristyn, David and Irene taking care of our house and pets. Communication was easy and timely. They were friendly and very responsive. On our return, our house was neat and tidy and our pets were well-cared for. I would definitely recommend Kristen and David for house-sitting. We would also be happy to have them house-sit for us in future.

Krystin and her family were lovely, friendly, and great with the dogs. They left our house in immaculate condition. Even with an embarrassing but unforeseeable plumbing issue in our house, they were very friendly and understanding while was being dealt with, despite inconvenience to them. I would have no hesitations using them again if they were in the area!

Kristyn, David and Irene did a wonderful taking care of our home as well as our fur babies. Irene is a bit of a pet whisperer, Velvet who is can be a bit picky about who she likes was completely under her spell. Ollie absolutely loved Irene and was sad when she left. Everything was well taken care of. We would definitely use again.

It was great to have such a kind and loving family taking care of my fur baby for a week. They communicated well, left the house clean and also left a lovely letter at the end of their stay. Highly recommend this family as house sitters.

Looked after our animals for a week and did a fantastic job. Updates and photos every day, came home to a house cleaner than we left it, our dog got play dates with his friends, and they followed our left instructions perfectly. Couldn't ask for better house sitters and we wish them well in their travels.

Kristyn & family were amazing. Great communicators, they aced the dog sitting with an elderly dog that needed meds as well as an energetic puppy. They were very friendly and sent pics of holiday happenings while we were away and they were very flexible. Definitely recommend.

From the time we first spoke, I felt comfortable with the idea of Kristyn and her family caring for our beloved cat and home. Communication was easy and excellent in the time leading up to the house sit as well as during our time away. When we returned home, our cat was so content and the house was spotless! We even had a lovely welcome message awaiting us. I highly recommend Kristyn and her family and would be happy to have them house sit for us in the future.
