SingleExperience includes living on a farm for several years and visiting, WWOOFing and farm sitting for over a decade. My grandmother's side of the family are all farmers. Have experience using a tractor, doing basic farm chores, shearing, looking after chooks, gardening, planting, harvesting and similiar tasks. The main farm animals I have looked after are horses, alpacas, chickens, bees and cows.

My name is Nic and I'm a mature age student currently studying fulltime at ANU with over a decade of positive house, farm and pet sitting experience.
I live a healthy, active and conscious lifestyle and do not smoke, party or take drugs, with no criminal record. Alot of my study can be done from home so I can be around your furfamily and house most days if need be and ensure they are all looked after and everyone is happy and safe. I've also looked after older animals and find it very wholesome and meaningful.
Some of my passions are gardening, nature, animals, writing and training. I love animals, and have experience caring for various animals incl dogs, cats, horses, cows, birds, fish and even rehabilitating a young kangaroo (he kept trying to fight me!). One day I hope to open a sanctuary for animals. I believe pets are family and deserve the greatest love and care.
My most intense sitting experience happened during the 2020 fires when I was farm sitting for some friends and looking after their horses. The horses escaped and I had to track them through the mountains in thick smoke, with fires just around the corner before eventually finding them and getting them to safety. So I like to think that even in a crisis situation *touch wood* you're home and pets will be safe with me! I do my best to honour my word, through thick and thin.
Everytime I have house and pet sat has been a win win for everyone and I have made many friends both human and non-human along the way.

Nic was absolutely amazing! He kept us updated with photos of the animals regularly and took fantastic care of the house and gardens. He was super friendly and so easy to communicate with. Sitting for our 3 large dogs and a cat isn’t always easy but Nic handled it like a champ. Would recommend Nic to anyone!

Nick is the most gentle and kind person and he was wonderful looking after Ernie and our home. He posted us pictures and let us know how everything was going. Ernie had a great time with lots of walks and attention. The house was left spotless. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nick to anyone. He is a great house and pet sitter.
From reading past reviews, Nic was as awesome as we expected.
He made everything so easy and fuss free, and we had excellent communication about our pets letting us know if there were any concerns along the way. Our house was clean and tidy on arrival which was so nice to come home to.

Nic and his brother Jack made us feel very comfortable and took great care of our many pets while we were away for around a month. They both have a genuine love of animals and we received regular updates throughout. We would highly recommend them - they are very experienced, trustworthy and understood all our needs.
Nic did a great job looking after our dog and house and we'd gladly have him sit for us again. He read all our house instructions and everything was exactly as we left it when we returned home. Thanks heaps Nic!

Nic’s previous glowing reviews don’t leave much else to say. He’s a delightful young man, and took wonderful care of our dog and house. We wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to him again if the need arises. If you’re lucky enough to be able to book him as we were, don’t hesitate as you won’t be disappointed!

We were lucky to secure Nic’s house sitting and petting sitting services on a second occasion whilst we were away overseas. We had no qualms leaving our dog and cat and home in his superior care. As predicted, we were provided with daily communication and photos of the animals and came home to a spotless home and chilled out pets. We have already recommended Nic to neighbours and work colleagues- we cannot recommend him strongly enough.
Nic is an experienced and caring housesitter. He stayed in regular contact and sent me plenty of photos of the animals. My animals, including my slightly anxious 16yo dog, looked so relaxed and happy in Nic's care. He took such great care of them, and really looked after my house during his stay. I returned to a very clean and tidy house and very happy animals. I highly recommend him.
Nic was an absolutely outstanding house sitter. Our first priority was our dog, who completely fell in love with Nic. The added bonus was that the house and garden were perfectly attended to as well. We will certainly try to get Nic back for any future housesits.

Nic couldn’t have been better. My boys clearly adored having him here and even from the other side of the world I could tell they were being well loved.
My house was in immaculate condition. And the communication was top notch.
I even had to throw a spanner in the works by adding a large dog to the mix for a few days in the middle. Nic didn’t blink an eye and immediately agreed to helping out.

Nic looked after our home and older Labrador Ben over xmas, Ben was happy, gardens were well cared for and watered, house was clean when we arrived home. We have asked Nic to return and housesit again later this month. We highly recommend Nic as a housesitter.
Nic already had a lot of lovely reviews on his profile so I knew I was lucky to have him as a housesitter. He came over a few times before I left to meet Isla and walk with her.
