Welcome to our profile.

We are Laura and Jonas, a couple from Germany, and we’re thrilled to share a bit about ourselves with you.

As a veterinary technician with extensive experience in pet care, I have a deep passion for animals and am well-equipped to handle everything from routine care to administering first aid if needed. I grew up surrounded by cats, caring for them from kittenhood to their senior years, and I have over 12 years of experience with horses, having worked in a breeding stable caring for race and newborn horses. My partner is a fitness scientist and personal trainer who grew up with dogs. Together we lead a healthy, active lifestyle that includes exploring the outdoors.

We will be traveling through Australia from December 2024, and we’re excited to bring our house-sitting experience from Germany to this beautiful country. House-sitting has allowed us to find peaceful, quiet areas to work remotely while enjoying the company of pets. For example, we’ve had the pleasure of looking after a delightful labradoodle puppy in the past. We’re open to both short and long-term assignments, though we prefer longer ones to form a deeper bond with the pets and maintain a stable environment.

We pride ourselves on being clean, tidy, and highly respectful of the homes we stay in. As non-smokers who don’t drink alcohol, we’re committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for your pets and home.

We understand how important it is to find the right people to care for your pets. To ensure a smooth transition, we’re happy to arrive a day early to observe your pets’ routines and make them feel comfortable with us before you leave. If that’s not possible, we’re more than willing to meet via video chat and arrive shortly before your departure for a handover.

Throughout our stay, we’ll keep in regular contact with you, providing updates and pictures to give you peace of mind.
