My hubby and I started house- sitting about 5 and a half years ago with the intention of caravanning around Australia. We have enjoyed it tremendously as it has given us the opportunity to see and experience the different suburbs in and around Perth. Unfortunately, the caravan plans have been put on hold for now. We have had fun looking after the different breeds of dogs and cats on our various house sits and getting to know their individual quirks:) We also have become quite attached to them on our stays :)
We both come from professional backgrounds, myself as a Banker and Pete as an Electrical Engineer, however I am retired and my
husband is semi-retired.( Currently working).

Purdy and Pete were fantastic housesitters. Very good communication throughout, very caring and concerned for our little cats - who find it hard to adapt to new people coming into the house - but persevered and did a great job. Our house and gardens were immaculate when we got home - think they should start a sideline business 😂 Thanks so much guys - really appreciate all your efforts.
Purdy and Pete housesat for us for three weeks when we went overseas. They cared for our elderly cat, sending regular photos and updates. Our house and garden were left in impeccable condition for which we are so very grateful. We would highly recommend them for any housesitting in the future.
Pete & Purdy were wonderful sitters. Excellent communication throughout the trip. House was immaculate upon return. They even mowed the lawn and washed the car!!! Would highly recommend both Purdy and Pete to anyone looking to go away.
This was our first time using a house sitter and really enjoyed meeting Purdy and Pete from day 1 when they came to meet our dog at home. They are a brilliant couple any very acomadating for our needs such as been available to let friends or parents in to pick stuff up for us why we were away. Having Purdy and Pete housesit was like having a family member look after our home. They took great care of our puppy Lucy and our old cat Woody. Any issues they communicated and resolved without any dramas. It was so nice to walk into a clean and lovely fresh smelling house. Highly recommend them as perfect House sitters.

They were very accommodating to our needs under unusual circumstances. We didn't actually get to meet them face to face as we were stuck over East and needed a house sitter in an emergency and then had to quarantine on return, but I had regular updates about my dog (who seemed very happy on our return) and we came home to an immaculately tidy house and beautifully manicured garden. a wonderful welcome home after too long ... Perdy and Pete where so fantastic to have as house sitters and would have them again any time. We have never used a house sitter before and found Perdy and Pete on the Aussie House Sitters website, They where an absolute delight to have in our home and where very caring for our 3 fur children . They are very tidy and kept us informed throughout our time away.

We had Purdy & Pete for 3 weeks not 5 due to lockdown with Covid and they were very considerate when we had to cancel the first 2 weeks of our holidays. The house, pets and yard were perfect when we returned and the communication from them for any queries was great.
I would highly recommend them for house sitting. They also returned for another couple of weeks from the 1st April to 18th April 2021 which gave us another opportunity to go away.
Purdy and Pete are fantastic housesitters and we have no hesitation in giving them our highest recommendation. If you get a chance to have them housesit for you grab the chance with both hands. You won't regret it. They did an exceptional job with our house and pets and we can't thank them enough for their effort.
Purdy & Pete looked after Wallis like he was there own, and went beyond expectations caring for or home. They also kept an eye on my mother who is 86.Would highly recommend them to care of your pet and home.

Entrusting someone with both your pet and home can be difficult and finding the right person a long process. As soon as we met Purdy and Pete we were confident that they would be the ideal couple to look after our cat and it turned out to be exactly the case. When we were on our 2 month trip we were kept up to date and sent photos of a happy Meesha. Pete and Purdy are excellent house sitters!
From attending the house to meet my cat before the sit, to providing me updates when I was away, to watering the garden - nothing was too much for them. Bonus points for the house being sparkling clean on my return.
Would highly recommend Pete and Purdy.
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
