Hello homeowners! Great to meet you :)

Who am I?
I (Dani) am from sunny Kingston (Jamaica), completing my doctorate degree up in the beautiful Wet Tropics Region (Cairns specifically). I moved back to Australia in 2022 but I also used to live in Townsville from 2014-2016 when I did my masters there. I have lived and worked in 12 countries so far and have a real appreciation for nature, food, culture, music and (of course) animals. I love to be outside but equally enjoy nice, slow days at home. Oh I am also a non-smoker.

Why am I housesitting?
Two reasons 1) doing a PhD (especially away from home, friends and family) is difficult - being around pets is an immediate boost to my energy and mental health. I truly love animals and the joy they bring 2) I am really keen to travel around Australia and meet new people. Housesitting is a safe and reliable way to explore this beautiful country with adorable animal companions - what more could a girl want? Expect pics and vids as updates showing how your loved ones are doing while you are away.

House-sitting experience
I have done several house sits and pet sits here in Cairns and also in Townsville for friends and colleagues. These have mostly been plants, cats and dogs (big, medium and small - moderate to high energy) but I genuinely love all animals and am willing to learn how to care for them to make sure your beautiful fur-babies get the best care while you are away. I am very respectful of other peoples' spaces and lifestyles and will treat your home as if it were my own.

Dani was wonderful! She sent daily updates of our pets (you could tell they all felt very comfortable with her) and our house was left spotless. Couldn't recommend Dani enough. Thank you.

From first contact Danis communication was impeccable - clear, concise & warm. I am soo lucky & grateful to have had such a quality person look after my boy Ranger while I was on holidays. Dani kept me updated with pics & vids, her actions matched her words - she did what she said she would do! I would gladly have her back anytime if she's available, thank you Dani for giving me peace of mind while I was away, I really appreciated you looking after my boy for me. 20/10

It was a pleasure to have Dani stay and look after Bella. The communication from Dani could not be faulted and the photos to show Bella is at ease was great! Absolutely loved the communication and having Dani stay and would not hesitate to have Dani stay again. I’d recommend Dani to anyone. Thanks so much again, Dani :)
