Hi, I'm Kim. I enjoy being part of the Aussie Housesitters community and have met some wonderful people and pets. If you're looking for an experienced sitter with common-sense who's reliable & clean and tidy then let's have a chat to see if your sit would be a good fit. My promise is to care for your pets as if they were my own and lavish them with kindness, love and attention, and to attend to your home and plants so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
I was born in New Zealand and have been fortunate to have travelled extensively, learning about people from all walks of life. I've led a full life, rich in experience. I've raised 3 wonderful humans, including twins. It's been eclectic - amongst other things I've worked in broadcasting, at a diagnostic laboratory, a bookstore, a cafe, and most recently at our local Community House and as a registered celebrant..
Our family has always had pets, including rescues - I'm an animal lover who enjoys the creative arts and culture, nature, cooking, reading and keeping active.
Kim stayed in our home to take care of our two cats. We had weekly or more communications with Kim and photos of our pets. The communication was excellent and we returned home to healthy and happy pets. Our home was kept very clean and our lawn was mown. I asked Kim to water my new vegetable plot and came home to a thriving garden.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kim for a house sit.

Kim was exceptional during our recent trip! We left in a stressful situation with one cat at the vet, but Kim remained calm and collected throughout. 😌
Kim went above and beyond by: Picking up our cat from the vet, Administering medication, Monitoring his recovery, and Caring for our other cat with equal attention 🐱🐱

My first comment to Kim when I returned was to ask when she could come back! Kim is a great communicator with both humans and cats. She is also on-the-ball and contacted us re a possible house maintenance problem. The house was spotless, the plants healthy and - most important of all - our 2 adored cats were relaxed and content! I highly recommend Kim.
Kim walked into a stressful scenario: one of the cats was recovering from a serious illness and needed ongoing treatments and medication. She has such a way with cats that she had established a rapport with him even before we left the house. She managed his care with great competence, and also made friends with our other cat who is usually quite stand-offish. I can highly recommend Kim as a house- and cat-sitter.
I was so happy to find Kim. She is very easy to communicate with and a lovely person. One of my cats needed eye drops and had 4 lots of medication!!! Kim was fine to administer this and notice his condition was worsening, so did a vet visit! She really went above and beyond. I got back to happy, healthy cats and a very clean and tidy house. I would welcome Kim back and I can confidently recommend her to take the best care of your pets and home.

Kim is a genuine, down to earth, friendly relaxed person; nothing seems to be an issue for her, even when I slightly messed up my dates.
Lizzy was perfectly happy in my absence and my house was lovely and clean and tidy when I got home. Win/Win!!

Kim was amazing and very quickly put my mind at ease. Toby can be a little stubborn but she managed him beautifully. Toby looked so happy and relaxed in all the photos Kim sent, The house was clean and tidy with sheets washed.
I would highly recommend Kim for any house sit and would love to have her take care of Toby again in the future.
Kim was wonderful! She sent plenty of photos and updates on Guinness, who we missed terribly, and left the house squeaky clean.

This was our first Kiwihousesitter experience. Puppy Millie seemed to bond with Kim when we first met just before our Sit commenced. Our home seemed cleaner when we returned than when we left. Our Puppy Millie was very happy, Thanks Kim or the messages and puppy photos while we were away. With her daily walks Millie felt things were quite normal. Kim is delightful. House was spotless, communication great and updates received while we were on holiday (i.e. photos of the cats which the kids were thrilled with). Would highly recommend Kim. The perfect house sitter.
Kim did a fabulous job looking after Lizzy. Photos and messages most days made me feel very comfortable and I knew Lizzy was in good hands. Bonus points for looking after my house too, it met my high standards on my return.

Kim looked after our house and cats for nearly three weeks. She sent us photos of our cats daily and we returned home to a perfectly clean house and very happy pets. We would highly recommend Kim if you are after a caring and responsible house sitter. We would not hesitate to have her again.

Her communication was fantastic include FaceTime calls with our beloved puppy. She took great care of Eddie, was very flexible, trustworthy and reliable.
