I am a single woman who loves life and the wonderful opportunities it offers.
I was a police office for 15 years, then worked in 5-Star hotel security in Melbourne and London. I have also been employed in aged care. I was a volunteer biographer in palliative care for nearly five years which brought together my interests in research and writing, besides having people contact. I have also volunteered with BlazeAid since 2011, travelling to numerous States within Australia to assist farmers rebuilt their fences after natural disasters.
I am a keen family history researcher and enjoy travelling to places to undertake research.
I have undertaken house-sitting for a few years, caring for cats, dogs, sheep and chickens, besides gardening. One couple, who I had previously sat for, were also happy for me to care for their teenage daughter whilst they were overseas/interstate with work commitments.
I am a home-owner so appreciate the importance of looking after another person's home.
I enjoy the interaction with the owner's and their families, and ensure that their arrival home is a stress-free time.
Thanks to Dianne for looking after our fur child and home over the Christmas break. We felt very comfortable with Dianne from our first meeting and throughout the sit. She had great communication including when there was some bad weather at home. Our kitty is ageing with a few issues and Dianne was great at giving us updates. Dianne was most professional and organised in her entire approach to our house and cat sit. She took very good care of our home, left it spotlessly clean and tidy, and took the trouble to leave us some milk and other goodies (including baking us a cake) for our return. Dianne did a wonderful job looking after our apartment, garden and cat for a week. From the very first message, she was highly responsive and professional in her communication. Dianne had excellent communication with me throughout her 3 day stay.
The house was left in perfect condition, would never have known Dianne stayed. My washing was folded and a lovely thank you card was also left.

Diane looked after my two cats very well and I could tell she really did love being around them and spending time.

Such a joy to arrive home after 3 weeks away to a beautifully clean and cared for apartment, and to two happy cats!! My plants were also looking very happy.
Dianne was very thoughtful with the sit, so it was very easy to trust she would care for my place and my scardy-cats. After a week, Atticus was requesting belly rubs, which he doesn't do with just anyone; so let that be an added reference to Dianne's character.

Dianne has just completed another house sit for us, this time for 9 days and I wouldn't want anyone else looking after my rescue cat Suki! Suki has also recently had another flare up of her allergies and knowing she is in Dianne's care always puts me at ease and allows me to enjoy the holiday!
Our apartment was spotless as always and thank you for the regular updates and pictures. I'm sure Suki is looking forward to seeing you again next month.
I was very glad to have Dianne come back to house-sit for us at short notice. We were able to go away feeling truly at ease knowing our rescue cat Suki is being well looked after. We have booked Dianne already for 2 longer term stays in the new year and it's a relief knowing Dianne will be here! The apartment is always left completely spotless and she provides regular updates throughout our stay for peace of mind.

Dianne, Louis has been looking for you since you left :) Really though, Dianne is the 'complete package'! Dianne was an absolute superstar and I would happily have her sit at my home and care for Suki again. Not only was she flexible with dates as we were unable to confirm upfront, she arrived ahead of time and made us feel completely at ease when leaving our rescue cat, Suki, in her care.
