Hi I'm a mature responsible sort of chap. No wild parties with this guy. My father is old and in a home. I live in UK so am just in brisbane for a few weeks to give him some visits and support. I grew up with dogs so I want to emphasise that first but will mention my work experience then come back to the doggos. (I'm learning a bit of Australian lingo - sorry if that's terribly confusing.) I've worked as an artist in residence and receptionist at a large environmental centre near Machynlleth in Wales and been a carer in mental health for many years. Being a carer in that field one learns to deal with anything effectively and without trouble, but most importantly with kindness no matter how much your buttons are pushed. As I say I've also had a lovely dog in my childhood. I do believe in good relationships with dogs based on respectful interactions that absolutely go both ways and in a certain amount of training of easy to train dogs like the golden retriever we had. But not heavy handed at all and I can do reward based methods too if at all necessary (which it might not be). I'm highly affectionate. My sister also has a dog and I'm happy to walk her dog Olive. I am responsible as a mature adult and will not forget my duties. I also can give references. I will only be visiting my dad for about four hours a day so will be in the house a lot so as to be company for the dog. I also like cats and will be a responsible feeder and will watch out for any needs such as vetinary needs. As I say I will be good company for an animal as I don't have huge amounts of people I know like family in Brisbane.
