  • Rural background (dairy & beef) & owner sml acreage 1/3 natural bush with Kangaroos koalas native bird life. Gympie 18months assisting mixed business with horse agistment..feeding, rugging mucking out. beef cattle tagging & yarding.assisting with horse clinics with cleaning of amenities & serving of catered food. Weed spraying, trough cleaning, pump starting, fence (electric & barb wire) checking .. Cleaning of bnb , maitenance of camping areas. Vegetable garden planting & weeding. Rubbish burning. Feeding , medication & compaionship of dogs in house when owners absent. Ability to drive rideon mower, quad, motor bike, 4wd , basic tractor. Whipper snipper Gatton 10 days.collection vege scraps for minature beef cows, every 2 nd day ( feeding once daily, putting out round bail in feeder, checking & topping up water troughs. Feeding, watering, locking up of chooks.geese Watering of garden. feeding cage birds & cleanliness. Feeding,watering, penning & unpenning 50 malay chooks & collection laid eggs. Monitoring incubator & sucessive hatched clutches. Also 7 guinea fowl geese, peacocks & feeding 3 horses & checking water . This was for 4 months fly in fly out workers.

Having come from a rural background, i have enjoyed the opportunities for rural 'help ', travel & farm/ house minding for 7 yrs as a 'grey nomad' in caravan life. Last 3 years Independently house/farm sitting self contained vehicle.
This has entailed extended 'sits' from 2 wks to 18 months, assisting & allowing owner breaks. Chickens, geese, guinea fowl, cage birds, peacocks, dogs, cats,rabbits,bearded dragons, fish,& turtles, horses (rugging & feeding) alpacas & cattle.
At times this consisted of feeding, maintaining water cleanliness & supply (starting pumps), grooming, cleaning & maintaining habitat, & regular medications as a daily duty or for absentee owners.
Also movement of cattle/ horses within paddocks.
I have also enjoyed overseeing pets & a house with organic vineyard, which required me to monitor watering, restart pumps &. selecting stock for collection of wine orders.

Charlie the Dog and I were both super happy with Muriel's presence in our home. Charlie responded to her very quickly, and obviously enjoyed her company :) Our home and yard were kept perfectly, "above and beyond", as the saying goes. We would be very pleased to have Muriel house-sit for us again in the future, if the opportunity arises.

First time using a house sitter and we were very impressed with Muriel. She has a calm and patient manner which worked well with our anxious staffy, geriatric cat plus very active pair of kittens. I would recommend Muriel to anyone looking for peace of mind whilst away, Muriel was a great communicator prior to our vacation and looked after our 3 horses, 4 chickens, gold fish and little dog whilst we were overseas. No fuss process, happy to do whatever we asked her, and followed our instructions. Would definately have Muriel back again!!

Muriel was a fantastic house and pet sitter for us. We have a large property and two needy sausage dogs. Muriel did a stellar job looking after both house and pets, particularly as one of our dogs has anxiety issues. She kept us updated regularly while we were travelling abroad. We came home to a well maintained garden and very tidy house. Our dogs were very sad to see Muriel go. Would love to use Muriel again in the future, and recommend her to anyone for a house sit.

We would have Muriel back in a heart beat. When the chaos of holiday is looming, and the frantic last minute things get too much, she is the calm in the storm. She loved and cared for our animals like we would have, our home was immaculate - plants were much happier than prior to our departure. She was incredible, and we are incredibly grateful for the worry free holiday that we had, knowing full well that she had it covered.

Muriel i came home my pooches were very happy to see me my home was nice and neat my front garden was all weeded which Muriel didn't have to do. Communication was very easy she also stayed a extra night. I would highly recommend her for any house sit. I definitely would love to have her back. 10/10
