James & Tash

We are a young couple about to travel around Australia together, having just graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland! We’re both super-friendly animal lovers with lots of experience looking after pets of our own and of others with professional experience in both house sitting and dog walking. Being around animals is a huge part of both of our lives, and we’d love it to be a part of our time abroad.

Tash has a massive passion for animals and nature, having studied Zoology at University. From working at a cat shelter for 4 years to helping out at a friend's farm during her summers, Tash has extensive animal experience which she uses in her frequent pet sitting. A few years ago her family rescued their crazy dog June, who keeps them all very busy! Whether running with her down the beach or cuddling on the sofa, life wouldn’t be the same without her. As a member of a very outdoorsy and active family, she loves any sport and is currently training for a half Ironman.

James has grown up in a large family of 6, with three younger sisters and an adored chocolate labrador, Bella. Whilst Bella has been the full-time resident in his house growing up, he also has plenty of experience looking after other pets, being the go-to dog/cat sitter for family and friends when they are away. He is a keen runner, having recently run the Edinburgh marathon, but also loves hiking, swimming and cycling. Having lived in Melbourne briefly as a young child, he is looking forward to connecting with the country that his parents fell in love with when he was much younger.
