Lydia & Rachel

Hi everyone!

We're Lydia and Rachel. We're both from the UK and have a wealth of experience looking after animals. We're travelling to Australia for several months in 2025 between Adelaide and Brisbane, and we're looking for pet-sitting and housesitting jobs during our stay.

A little bit about us:

Lydia: I work at an animal rescue sanctuary in the UK, so rest assured I have lots of experience working with a variety of different animals and I'm very confident and competent around them. Through my work and personal life, I have experience looking after: cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, chickens, turkeys, ducks, donkeys (minature and full size), horses (minature and full sized), goats, pigs, sheep, and cows.
I also volunteer at a pet rescue centre where I foster animals in my own home whilst they wait for adoption. I'm currently fostering a blind rabbit who requires extra care and have previously looked after deaf animals, so if your little friends have medical or additional needs I'm more than comfortable with this.


Rachel: I volunteer at the animal sanctuary Lydia works at so I have experience with the same animals she mentioned. I've been around animals my whole life so your loved ones will be in brilliant hands! For my job, I work for the emergency services and specialise in mental health emergencies. My job and volunteering involves caring about people and animals to a huge degree.


Both:
We both have first-class degrees, clean driving licenses, gardening experience, and we're incredibly tidy people. We both have experience pet sitting and house sitting, and are happy to provide references upon request. We know how difficult it must be to trust others to care for your loved ones, so we're more than happy to answer any questions you have and put your minds at ease.
