Hello, I'm Shane.
I have had quite a bit of experience with house and dog sitting, which I undertook before the pandemic. I had several repeat clients who would go away every year so it was nice to catch up with all "my" dogs on an annual basis.
I do prefer longer stays when dog-sitting as it helps create a better bond between me and the dog; but also open to short stays as well. My longest stay was for 4 months looking after a black-haired retriever called Charlie.
I am a non-smoker, nor do I drink.

The Pomeranian- Mr. Gilly; I had my own dog for 16 years, before his passing.
The Staffie/ Kelpie is Boof - The cuddliest dog I have ever met
Cassie and Sissy - Sisters from the same litter.
Harry - Cavoodle. Poor Harry had recently been in an accident and had a damaged back leg. Needed a fair bit of help getting around and getting used to his 'new normal'.
Charlie: black haired retriever. I have probably cared for Charlie for well over a year when you combine all the times I have dog-sat.
Shane was back for another house/dog sit for us. He has become a regular in our holiday planning and makes life very easy. He had no issues with boofs medication and sent through updates of Boof getting snuggles.
Everything left clean and tidy like he had never been there.
The perfect house sitter! Shane left our house in a cleaner condition than we left it (sorry!) and our Kaiser was very well looked after. Great communication pre and during stay, receiving updates of our dog throughout.

We were so lucky that Shane was available to house/pet sit for us for nearly a month. He is kind, friendly and calm and made easily made friends with our elderly blind/deaf dog. He was even determined enough to master manually delivering the meds Raffy is not at all pleased at having forced on him nightly!

Shane was a perfect house sitter. He looked after our dog Boof while we were on holidays and looked after the house too. It was nice having the security of Shane in our house when we left the work Ute with tools in it at home as well. Boof was walked, given his medicine and given lots of cuddles. Shane communicated with us throughout the stay when necessary, and when our 3yo asked for pictures of Boof because he missed him, Shane happily sent through extra photos.
