Hi, we are a non-smoking retired couple who have been house sitting for nearly six years. We are reliable, honest and conscientious.
As we no longer have pets of our own it gives us joy to have the opportunity to have walks / cuddles and special times with your precious pets. We enjoy time spent in the garden and would respect and take care for your house as you do.
In November 2016 we left our home of 17 years to explore new and rediscover old horizons. Since then, we have met many wonderful people and pets.
As pets we have had a dog [passed basic dog obedience], cat, birds and fish.
Gwynell, I have retired from working as a trainer and assessor in the aquatic industry, mostly working with children and sometimes with adults. I have also dedicated 17 years and hundreds of hours of voluntary service with surf life saving. I like to dabble with various art forms and enjoy getting outdoors for exercise which mostly involves hiking, swimming, cycling and yoga.
Philip; I am now retired but was previously employed as a laboratory chemist. I enjoy cooking, a good book and getting out for a walk in the countryside or along the beach.
We both have police clearances.
We travel with our own linen, food and cleaning equipment.
Gwynell and Philip were the perfect housesitters. we returned to a beautifully clean house and a very happy cat. Gwynell sent me just the right amount of messages to let me know how he was doing. Extremely happy with them, highly recommend.
Would definitely use Gwynell and Philip again. We came home to a lovely clean and fresh house. The lawns and gardens were well maintained during our absence. Loved the bottle of wine and box of chocolates they left on the kitchen bench for us on our return.

Fantastic support while we were away on holidays. Our excitable puppy was very well looked after and the house was spick and span on our return. We would highly recommend Gwynell and Phillip.

Gwynell and Philip are the best. Answered all my questions and concerns, attended an online interview, visited my apartment prior to the cat sit and sent me updates while I was away about my cat and the apartment. They left the place very clean, and went above and beyond. I am very appreciative to come home to a happy cat.
Having Gwynell and Philip look after our house and our cat was wonderful. They took such superb care of the house, watered our plants and left the place looking so clean and tidy. They kept in contact with us while we were away and posted pics of the cat so we could see how relaxed he was with them (he is a nervous cat usually). I would happily recommend Gwynell and Phillip to housesit and hope to have them back ourselves sometime. They were very flexible as far as being able to arrive at a time that suited us, great communication throughout. I felt confident and comfortable leaving everything in their care, even after only a quick handover. Both our animals were happy and well cared for on our return and our house was left clean and tidy. Everything we hoped for.
We felt very at ease as soon as we met Gwynell and Philip. They kept in touch while we were away with updates about the pets and house.
We arrived home to find the house immaculate and the animals had obviously been well cared for.

In a word: perfect. As experienced sitters, Gwynnell & Philip asked pertinent questions at a pre-decision interview, making it easy for us to compile a briefing paper on features of the house. Every few days they sent a picture of happy pets. House and garden were in great order; far better than our expectations.
We couldn't have been happier with Gwynell and Philip. They sent us photos of a very happy and contented cat during our stay and kept us up to date on on anything happening at home. When we arrived back from our trip the house was spotless, lawns mowed and a very happy and relaxed cat awaited us. They were also extremely considerate and topped up grocery items as well as left us a few lovely surprises for us. We wouldn't hesitate in welcoming them back or recommending them to anyone.

Gwynell and Phillip Housesat and took care of our 2 very old dogs for us in Jan while we went Camping.
They are absolutely lovely people and kept in touch while we were away. I wasn't worried at all while we were gone which is such a nice feeling.
The dogs were very happy and well taken care of.
I'm sure our house was cleaner when we got home that when I left.

We are first time Aussie House Sitter users and would highly recommend Gwynell and Phil.
They took care of our house and 14 year Spoodle (Tessa) for 2 1/2 weeks. They sent photos of Tessa which kept our minds at ease.
We had an electrical problem before we left and wasn't going to be fixed for 2 days. They still came and sat our house and dog with the use of lamps.!!

We were delighted to have met Gwynell & Philip through Aussie House Sitters. Easy going, friendly, keen to integrate and most of all, took amazing care of our fur babies. Gwynell and Philip did a great job looking after Lottie and my house while I was away. They are very considerate and trustworthy house-sitters. Lottie missed them when they left. She kept going to the bedroom for the first few mornings. I think she enjoyed the early morning cuddles. I would love to have them sit for me again.

Gwynell and Phillip were absolutely wonderful house-sitters. They followed my instructions on feeding my cats better than I do myself and my fat one actually lost a little weight (which was fantastic). My neighbours met them and were charmed, the house was impeccable when I came back. I can't feel thankful enough to have stumbled onto them.
Gwynell and her partner stayed in our home for a few days and looked after our cat and home very well. The house was immaculate on our return and a fresh carton of milk was left in the fridge.

I couldn't possibly recommend Gwynell and Philip highly enough. They cared for our three dogs while we were away - very young and energetic GSP, elderly and deaf kelpie, and 7-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

I arrived home from my interstate trip to two very relaxed cats who behaved like I hadn't been away at all! Gwynell and Philip supplied regular updates and photos of Persia and Calais throughout their stay and were very accommodating when my flight home was delayed. Gwynell and Phillip house sat our house for a week in January 2016. Our house was as clean as when we left and our garden was impeccable. We have 2 large dogs who were walked twice a day and were loved and cared for. We received updates from them and felt very confident they were looking after our house and dogs. They are a very trustworthy couple who I would have stay at our house anytime.
Gwynell and Philip are absolutely lovely people and I would have them back housesitting for me in a flash. I think my cat was impressed too :)
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
