Caring mature sitter

Fit 70 plu, 1Retired

1II have been travelling australia for36 years, I love all animals, and gardening. Prefer longstay a month or longer . I can supply plenty of references .
I enjoy gardening and mowing, push or ride on.
I'm an artist and author of two books, one travelling oz ,the other about a cat that travelled with me,,her story.
I can handle the heat prefer open windows with a fan not keen on aircon. I' love fishing . I' have looked after pools salt and fresh . Exercising dog's helps keep me fit ..I prefer to stay in the north for winter as I'm not keen on the cold . Over the last two years I've house-sat mackay, Seaforth. Yerona ,Gregory River,,south Townsville, a year at Balgal Beach ,I Have a sit for5 week's back at. Balgal Beach I'm booked two month's December January . Have a cancellation for March, I'm taking February off driving to Melbourne then flying to Tasmania catching up with grandd aughter and family. Depending where I can secure a house sit for March will depend which way I drive back as I go back to Airlie Beach starting mid April. The wet season will dictate starting time. I prefer to speak with the owners of a house sit before booking. I travel with a cheeky loraket who is not afraid of dog's or cats, I do have a large cage when needed. Lorraine

Lorraine was fantastic. She looked after the cats and house perfectly. She dug, fertilised, planted and watered our vege gardens and trimmed our trees. Lorraine also joined in community activities and made many friends.

DAMIAN (Kings Meadows TAS, Dec 2022 - 1 week 1 day)
Lorraine got us out of trouble when a sitter had to leave mid sit. Lorraine answered our plea for help immediately and with a bit of great communication we sorted out a transition. Lorraine looked after our little cottage like it was her own. Asked to especially look after the lawn because had a wedding planned this year. Lawn was great and we even got some flowering shrubs in too. If you need advice on veggies, she's your lady, we are still eating veg that she planted a month since she left. ... MORE

Lorraine came a couple of days earlier to get the low down on the pets, great communicator very reliable and did a terrific job with the cats and chooks. We came home to very happy cats and everything in order....I will be contacting Lorraine in future if we get to go away again. I was very surprised to see one of our cats (Mooch) enjoying the company of her beautiful little cheeky Conure Parrot Star...they got on very well. Would not hesitate to recommend Lorraine to anyone looking for a ... MORE
