We are a couple in our sixties. We recently sold our family home of 22 years in the Adelaide Hills and will begin building a home in the Hills in 2024. In the meantime, we are keen and experienced house sitters! Our daughter and her husband in Canberra are having their first child early June, so we are looking for house sits in Canberra from late May - early July. A little bit about us…We have four children now grown, and during their childhood we included in our family four much loved dogs, a cat, goats, rabbits, fish...Our home in the Hills was on two acres, so we have much experience in garden maintenance. We are relaxed, quiet living, keen walkers and cyclists and work mostly from home, meaning we love to be at home and will happily provide company for any pets requiring it.

Gillian and Danny were excellent sitters. The house was immaculate upon our return . Our two and a half year old dog was happy and well cared for during our 5 week absence and communication was minimal while we were away- because there were few issues and we only needed to be contacted if there were problems. So we certainly recommend them as house sitters. The fact that they were a couple ( to cover the dog walks ) and knew the area, was also of comfort . the 4 star review for the garden was ... MORE

Gillian and Danny were wonderful, conscientious, and caring for the four plus months they house and pet sat for me. My dog, Bodhi, was very well cared for, exercised, and groomed; and my home and garden were left in immaculate condition. I couldn’t have asked for more and I am very grateful to them both.

Gillian & Danny house sat for us In Darwin for 8 weeks March/May 2023. It is a large house with a pool and mature garden. Gillian and Danny cared for everything beautifully. We arrived home to a spotless home, sparkling pool and manicured garden. During their stay there was an unexpected plumbing issue, identified by them that required them facilitating tradesmen access to remedy. It was managed with professionalism and we were thankful we had them dealing with it. We are off again next month ... MORE
