Happy pets!
A house sitter provides loving, full-time, home-based pet-care while you're away.
74, Retired librarian, journalist and illustrator
As an Australian aged pensioner, I am keen to look after your pets and houses.
I enjoy this work/leisure, having house-sat many times now in Germany. Tasmania and Melbourne.
Having recently house-sat with a lovely dog, in Mornington and Mentone for six weeks at midyear, I then returned to Hua Hin in Thailand where my Swiss partner Mona and I normally live. Mona comes to my house-sits occasionally.
I am available for pet-caring opportunities over December and new year break in Melbourne to be closer to my daughters and my three young grandchildren in this family time.
In 2022, I looked after five cats in four houses in Hughesdale, South Frankston, Oakleigh and Noble park for four months.
Born in Thailand, I lived most of my life in Tasmania. My two Tasmanian daughters and their families now live in Melbourne and I visit them every year.
I worked as a librarian in Hobart and a journalist in Phuket, I hold degrees from the University of Tasmania, including in fine art.
I have also worked as a support worker for the disabled and juvenile offenders in Hobart, Melbourne and Christchurch and have an Australian police clearance.
I prefer to house-sit quietly, writing and drawing, watching TV, exploring libraries and art galleries.
I am tidy and love looking after animals and gardens. Hope I can help fill in your absence.
