Hi. I am a single female, in my early 60's. I am retired from the work force due to medical issues.
I joined Aussie Housesitters to get out and about after the lockdowns in Victoria. I worked my way through NSW in 2022, and spent 2023 in the northern suburbs of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
I've had a ball, met some wonderful people and pets, and I am in no hurry to go back home.
I used to foster cats for Friends of the Pound, who christened me 'the cat whisperer'. I also love dogs and don't mind taking them for a walk.
I spend a lot of time on my laptop, writing and researching. I don't drink or go out at night. I don't go out for long periods during the day, as that tires me out. Just for shopping and a bit of sightseeing.
I love rural sits and don't mind places away from the main tourist areas. I'm currently in northern NSW, looking for sits on the lower end of the Gold Coast or on the Tweed coast, and inland from either.

Tracey took great care of our house and cat (Pixie) while we were away. Pixie took a few days to warm up to Tracey and stop hiding and running away, but I knew this would be the case. I really appreciated Tracey’s honest updates regarding Pixie, and this reassured me that all will be well.

Tracey kindly stepped in to look after my chooks and elderly horse, the pool and water the veggie garden as required, when my booked sitter had to cancel at the last minute.
Tracey was honest and open about her lack of horse experience but was willing to give it a go. Given that the horse only needed to be fed and cuddled I was willing to give Tracey a go too! All was fine with Tracey calling for assistance as needed and both horse and Tracey survived!

Tracey house-sitted my house during six months and took care of my Airbnb businesse while I was away. She has demonstrated reliability, responsiveness and adaptability, finding and dealing with a tradie when it was necessary and with the Airbnb guests. All of them who have been in contact with Tracey left good comments about her.
She kept in touch very regularly through Messenger and email, resolving small issues on her own and sending me photos of the place.

Tracey did an excellent job house and pet sitting. She kept in touch while we were away, and communication was great. It was a great peace of mind as there were many big storms while we were away, but she was able to assure us everything was intact. She was excellent with our cat, chickens and fish.

Tracey was a delightful and wonderful person. We could not fault her. She left the granny flat cleaner than when she arrived. She had washed all the linen and towels and the dogs were well looked after. We would have her stay again and would highly recommend her to any prospective owners looking for a house sitter.

Tracey was an absolute pleasure from first communication the whole way through. We were really happy with the way she looked after our home and our cats Chevy and Paisley, it was clear to see they had an abundance of love and affection from Tracey.

It was lovely to have Tracey caring for the kids, our cat, geese and fish. Sometimes the dogs as well. Because of illness we couldn’t stay away the full time but Tracey was flexible in our comings and goings. The house was left clean and tidy and she went above and beyond doing some weeding as well. We chose Tracey because of her obvious love of cats, and when she came to meet us, Bailey seemed to relate to her.
He certainly has a fairly strong personality, but he and Tracey seemed to bond. Tracey kept us up to date with reports and photos, which were much appreciated. Everything was fine on the home front, and I wouldn’t hesitate to have her back.
Tracey was friendly, easy to communicate with and took great care of our cat Lucky and home. She took the time to travel and meet before her sit which I greatly appreciate. I highly recommend Tracey to anyone needing a reliable and trustworthy house/pet sitter.
Would definitely recommend Tracey for future house-sits. Tracey looked after the house and garden exceptionally well. Everything looked as good as how we left it which we were very grateful for, in particular the garden and looking after the myriad of pot plants. Our cat also seemed very content.
