Christine & David

David and I are a married couple, we are experinced house sitters and would love the opportunity to house sit your home and care for your beloved pets.

We are from Adelaide, and are currently traveling around Australia doing volunteer work with Willing Workers on Organic Farms, and house sitting. We are mature aged people and have been happily married since March 2011.

About us:

David is an Architect, and I am a Paediatric Physiotherapist, we have both been actively involved in our community with 5049 Coastal Community, our local community hall and helping to establish Marino Community Garden .
We like to keep ourselves fit and healthy (we are non-smokers), with cycling bushwalking and yoga. And are mostly vegetarian. We are both positive people, and value mindfulness, kindness and empathy and will always respect your privacy. David and I are very good communicators, and will do all we can to put you at ease whilst you are away

Our Pet Experience:

We are both animal lovers, and although we haven’t had our own dog for a few years we joined Guide Dogs SA/NT and became puppy raisers for 4 years. This included raising the Labrador pups from 12 weeks to 14 months, and involved many hours of supervised training. We also became short term sitters for other puppy raisers when they went on holiday. It was a very rewarding experience but very hard to give the dogs away!
David and I both grew up with pets. David had 5 dogs during childhood and 4 during adulthood, whereas I just had one dog but also rabbits, mice and an aquarium.
We feel that pets are an important part of the family, and David often calls me a 'dog magnet' because I always attract them when we are going out for our walks, and we love it!

Housekeeping:

We have both lived in large and small houses with large and small gardens. We have a spa at our current house so are used to all the maintenance that it takes We are both house proud and like to keep our home clean, both inside and out, and keep the gardens and pot plants watered and well cared for.
