Hello - we're a retired couple (married for 43 years) and have been travelling around this amazing country of ours on and off for the last 6 years. We’ve finally made it across the Nullarbor and looking forward to exploring Western Australia, starting in the south west before heading north after the cyclone season!

In our previous life we both held senior management roles in the Australian Public Service. We are friendly, reliable and trustworthy (non smokers) who are house proud and will look after your pets, home and garden as if they were our own, while respecting your privacy. We have National police checks and can make them available if required.

We enjoy looking after animals, walking, fishing and gardening. Our much loved golden retriever was our constant companion for nearly 16 years and we often cared for other family members dogs, cats, birds and fish (happy to broaden our experience with other animals). We’ve received excellent feedback from our home/pet owners and had many repeat housesits (privately) during our time back in Brisbane and made some great friends along the way.

Heather and Chris did a house sit for us for 7 weeks just recently. They were very easy to deal with. We came back to a spotless house and very relaxed fur babies. They kept us updated throughout our holiday about what was going on at the house. We highly recommend Heather and Chris and we would have no issue with getting them to do another house sit for us.

Chris and Heather did an excellent job of looking after our house and 2 cats recently. Their communication and flexibility in working in with us was a great help after we had a car issue. We would definitely recommend them or ask them to sit for us again.

Allowing people into your home is a significant matter but as soon as we met Chris and Heather they felt like old friends and we felt certain our home, and our menagerie of pets, would be in good hands. This is the first time we have used Aussie House Sitters and everything was going fine until our first house sitter pulled the pin 3 weeks out of the house sit. Chris and Heather came to our rescue and it was a blessing in disguise. Not only was our house and yard really well looked after but so was our family dog Jack. When we first met Heather and Chris we felt at ease straight away. They are a honest trustworthy couple. They looked after our S They looked after staffy dog and 2 cats for 3 weeks. our house and kept it exactly as it was left, clean and tidy. They communicated well and were a pleasure. Chris and Heather are a lovely couple and we are pleased we chose them to take care of our home and Siamese cat Bronte while we were away for three weeks. They a a warm genuine couple and the type of sitter id like to have every time. Walter took an instant liking to them and they enjoyed him too.
