Hello,
I'm Joy, and I'm a 34 year old psychology student at JCU. I'm originally from the U.K., but have been in australia for the past 5 years, and plan on remaining here indefinitely. My partner William I own a sailing catamaran which we live aboard full time, based mostly in the Whitsundays. I'm looking for house sitting opportunities for whilst I'm studying my masters in Townsville.
As for me, I am very tidy, organised and reliable individual. My motto is 'tidy home equals a tidy mind', and I take great pleasure in being domestic and keeping my living space looking beautiful.
I love animals a lot, and have been the primary carer for 3 dogs and 4 cats when I lived in the U.K. I enjoy the company and affection of pets, and I'm a reliable and highly consistent carer for them, as my nature is to be sensitive to their needs at all times.
I've done many other house-sits, and references can be found on my profile. My only preference is to look after animals that are trained and ideally ones that don't bark a lot. It's helpful for me to have a calm housesitting environment, so I'm best able to maintain a good study-life balance.

Virginia, what can I say is simply full of JOY! I am blessed to have met her and very happy to have her house sit permanently! She is very respectful, kind and extremely neat and tidy person. My home was well looked after as was my pet cat Alice, who seemed to walk around looking for Virginia . I would have no qualms having her sit my house/pet again and again! I feel very fortunate to have her as my new "fawn" friend.
I was able to enjoy 4 days away with no worries as Joy and William looked after our 2 dogs with so much love. Returned to a clean home and 2 very happy puppies. They kept in touch and both such a lovely couple and would have back for future housesits.
Virginia and William are lovely, considerate people. They took very good care of my cranky cat and looked after my house during the recent cyclone by bringing all my plants and furniture inside. They followed all of my instructions and left the place tidy when they departed. I would recommend them to other people who need a reliable house sitter.

The house was left clean and tidy on our arrival home and the animals were sad to see them both go. Thank you very much for looking after our home and loving our animals as much as we do. 😊
Virginia and William took great care of our house and pets (2 cats and 1 dog). They followed our instructions diligently including taking our dog to an appointment (above and beyond). We came home to a neat and tidy house and very happy and content animals. It allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday.

Virginia and William house and dog sat for 5 weeks for us. We spent a lovely few hours with them before we left to do a handover and show them our two German Sheppard dogs' routines. They were very happy puppies on our return so I'm sure they will miss their company and walks. We appreciated their flexibility and communication when our daughter needed to pop by and send us some forgotten medications.
