  • My husband and I have been brought up on farms. My husband was farming in Walla Walla for a number of years. His farm consisted of sheep, cattle, and grain crops along with pigs, chooks and sheep dogs. On selling the farm he moved to Brisbane where he purchased a garden centre and expanded that into a landscaping yard. In later years he sold the Garden Centre and ran a Bobcat Hire business until his retirement.

We are a mature retired couple looking to House Sit. We have decided now we are retired we would like to venture out and experience a lot more of Australia which we haven't been able to do while working. Our adult children have their own families now so it frees us up to travel more. We own our home in Brisbane. We are both non-smokers, respectful, caring and reliable.

I have been working in administration/bookkeeping/office manager both in New Zealand and Australia. After moving from New Zealand in 2004 I was looking forward to exploring Australia but my NZ husband passed away 8 years later. I am now remarried to an amazing Australian man who also wishes to travel more.
We both have experience with our own domestic dogs and cats.
We are involved with a local church, I help out with a children's program so have a current Blue Card and my husband helps out as a grounds man once a week.
We are very much looking forward to becoming House Sitters during 2023 and will be reliable and caring for your house and pets.

Due to an unexpected change of plans, Dulcie and Peter kindly agreed to come 2 days earlier than originally agreed. We did not get to meet them but communications were easy and gave us great confidence. Peter was pleased to assess the condition of newly arrived cattle and move them accordingly, we arrived home to a very happy pup, minor gardening was not a problem, the house was sparkling and the washing was on the line!
