I am available for pet and house sitting on long term basis (4 weeks plus). I have looked after various animals and homes for their owners and have excellent references from both Australia and more recently the UK.
I am currently unable to look after dogs due to knee issues but all other animals not a problem.
I am a non smoker, mature lady and have recently retired from working full time.
I am clean and tidy by nature so I will ensure your home is kept clean and tidy.
I have no problem looking after a few plants, small gardens and small animals.

Our first meeting with Barbara convinced us she was the right person to take care of our house, our 2 special Shelties and our stray pussy cat. That conviction was borne out when we arrived home after 5 weeks to a spotless house and very happy trio of animals. Barb kept us up to date on all the happenings and I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable house and pet sitter.
Barbara is a delight. She looked after our cats, plants and home for a month. We were kept updated with news, photos and videos. When one of our cats had gone walkabouts Barbara was straight on the phone. He was back in the early hours and she updated us so we didn't worry. When the washing machine broke, again she informed us straight away. Barbara looked after our 2 dashshund we came back to 2 perfectly happy dogs and a lovely tidy house .
Barbara did a fantastic job of house and pet sitting!
On return, I found the house clean, neat and tidy. Barb also understood and maintained my little (plump) doggy’s diet and when I returned she’d slimmed down and us much the better for it.

Barbara house sat for us for 6 weeks while we were overseas and kept us up to date with photos and information about how Snow and Lexie were behaving. Unfortunately Barbara had a lot to contend with as Snow had a severe allergy outbreak which did not resolve in the 6 weeks we were away. Barbara did her best to keep Snow as comfortable as possible until our return home for which we are very grateful. Barbara was excellent and took brilliant care of my house and cats. Great communication throughout the duration of the sit and I came back to an extremely clean house and two happy cats. Highly recommend.
Barbara was amazing. She kept in contact with me with text and . photos She did a fantastic hand over to the next sitter who took over from her . I would love to have Barbara look after my home and wee cat again. again
If Barb offers to house/pet sit just say yes. As the stars indicate, all was well looked after. It was such a relief that pretty much immediately my dog liked her and he was very well looked after. It was great to come back to such a clean unit with fresh sheets on the bed, a bathroom that sparkled and not a skerrick of housework to do.
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
