We are a 'young-at-heart' retired couple, living on the Mid North Coast of NSW, after a long period of working abroad. During that time, we enjoyed house-caring for friends, an official house swap with fellow Australians, and a very successful house-sit in England, caring for cats, a dog, chickens, quails, and a large garden.

Now settled back home in Aus, we have enjoyed many more house-sits: ranging from Sydney (Lilyfield, French's Forest, Woollhara, Forest Lodge), to Lake Macquarie, Nambucca, Tintenbar, Ballina, Brisbane, Far North Queensland, Gold Coast, and Hattonvale. In 2016, we were fortunate to enjoy two overseas house-sits: one in Bath (UK), and one in France. Our booked house-sits in Spain for 2020 unfortunately didn't proceed due to the pandemic.

With the Covid years behind us, our winter house-sitting has more recently taken us to Brookfield, Cairns, Darwin and Hervey Bay.

We really enjoy the company of pets, and have 'expertise' with cats, dogs, and chickens, plus the feeding of wild parrots, rosellas and kookaburras. (Dealing with snakes and cane toads is also on our CV!)

We have in the past maintained a large home, pool and garden. Now, living in an apartment, we can enjoy both travel abroad and within Australia, at a leisurely pace. We are non-smokers, house-proud, and active, and would mind your home and pets as carefully as if they were our own. Generally flexible with dates, we can (sometimes) house-sit over Christmas and New Year. Having our own car, we easily travel to house-sit anywhere in NSW, or further afield to Victoria and Qld.

It is very rewarding to have been asked back for repeat house-sits by previous home owners, who can vouch for our care of their home and pets, and our sincerity and trustworthiness. We will happily share with you all our references, and can continue contact via phone, email, skype or WhatsApp.

If possible, we ask that you advertise your home, pets and requirements on this site, to establish whether we and you are a good fit for each other!

Having Carol and Paul to look after our place was an absolute dream! Out communication beforehand was a breeze, chatting both online and on the phone. And when we met I was struck by how warm, friendly and worldly they were. The house was spotless upon our return and the cats were blissfully content... they must have received a lot of love and affection during our time away. We were very happy with Carol and Paul. Our cat Misty is very frightened of strangers but opened up to Carol and Paul on the first day. The house was left lovely and clean and we hope they can house sit again.

Carol and Paul looked after our 2 cattle dogs for a week and Geoff and I were very pleased with all they did to make them happy. As Carol said on our arrival home "I don't think they missed you at all" and they certainly looked a bit sad to see them go. As a bonus our house was immaculate and the garden watered. Thankyou very much Carol and Paul, we would be more happy to have you dog sit for us again.

We were very impressed with the care and attention that our house/pet sitters Carol and Paul had for us while we were away. Our 2 pets took an instant attraction to them and we felt very confident leaving them. We are extremely happy with the way they cared for our home and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone needing a house and pet sit.
