We’re Declan and Gloria, an experienced full-time house-sitting couple from Sydney. We have a passion for animals and home care and are both committed to maintaining the highest standards in every sit we take on.
We are currently 26 and 24 years old. Gloria recently graduated as a Primary School Teacher, and Declan is currently studying IT online, which allows us the flexibility to be home full-time, offering your pets endless attention, affection, and care. We are huge animal lovers and believe pets deserve nothing less than this.
We always stick to your pets' routines and individual needs, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy while you're away. We work around the pets we look after, ensuring they’re well-exercised, content, and loved.
House-sitting is not just a task for us—it’s a joy, and we love making lifelong memories and connections with the pets and homeowners we meet.
When we’re not house-sitting, we live in Sydney with Declan’s parents as we save up to move into our own place. House-sitting allows us to enjoy a bit of independence and personal space while being surrounded by animals, which we truly enjoy.
We have experience house-sitting across multiple locations in NSW and QLD and have looked after a wide range of pets—from dogs and cats to lizards, turtles, birds, and even chickens. We have expertise in caring for animals with anxiety, medication requirements, and specific routines, such as early morning feedings.
We’re also comfortable with garden and pool maintenance, and we have cared for large properties before, so your home is in safe hands.
We’ll treat your pets as if they were our own! Declan has a dog, and Gloria has a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and turtles. However, they stay with our families, and we’ll be arriving solo—no pets of our own will join us at your home.
We have never cancelled a sit, and homeowners can always count on us. We have excellent reviews from homeowners, which you can view on our profile. Choosing us means you’re entrusting your home and pets to a caring, reliable, respectful, and communicative couple who will keep your home secure and your pets happy.
We understand the importance of peace of mind while you’re away and are always happy to provide updates through messages, photos, or even video calls (if preferred).

Declan and Gloria have looked after my two dogs and 2 cats for the last two weeks. I came home to a very well looked after house and some happy and contented dogs and cats. Even though I was out of range for communication, there were updates for me when I was able to be connected to internet. Would definitely recommend Declan and Gloria for any housesitting

They were absolutely fantastic! Communicated really well prior to and during house-sit. Went out of their way to collect keys and then hand-over to my friend who arrived prior to my getting back home. They did send me plenty of messages and photos of my fur-babies, which was really great. The apartment was left in a good clean condition.

Declan and Gloria minded our 15yr old shih tzu/maltese terrier for over 5 weeks. They did a marvellous job as he had special health needs which they were very attentive of.
They were perfect house sitters who cared for Jock and our property.
