Hi, I'm Fiona & part of the growing >50s single & independent women demographic!

I've been house sitting on/off for a friend for over 3 years now, through 2021 - 2024 in the Bellingen (Northern NSW) area. This is ongoing, however there are no pets, just a swimming pool and many acres of trees. And the owner returns periodically so I like to take trips away regularly.

Prior to 2021 I was a proud home owner (Northern Beaches, Sydney) for 30+years, raising my 2 daughters and various pets (rats, then ferrets & a very silly black poodle called Pippin). Now, my daughters are grown up and independent and I'm ready to travel and see the world.

I've found I enjoy house/pet sitting as it allows you to be a part of a community, not just a "tourist" (which does not appeal to me). Homes versus 'hotels' or even BnBs - there is no comparison.

Over my life I've had or cared for many animals and properties/acreage including:-
- cats, dogs,
- tropical fish
- guinea pigs, ferrets, rats
- pet birds
- horses
- chickens, ducks
- sheep

MORE ABOUT ME:-
- strictly NON-SMOKER
- experienced in home renos so minor maintenance no issue (originally trained as an engineer)
- experienced with in-ground and above ground pools
- minor gardening
- grew up on acreage with rainwater tanks, pumps, solar etc
- normal house care (bins, mail, normal cleaning)

I do work part-time, hosting & maintaining a few websites for small businesses. This is all done 'virtually' at hours that suit me - I do need decent internet tho :-)

I also do a lot of strength/weight & dance training - so often bring exercise gear with me :-) Its fun to visit new local studios.
