42, pet sitter/house minding
2025 availability : February onwards
I've lived on remote station land as a Principal for several years in the NT...so I'm open to house sitting in most areas with all animals. I am ‘life’ experienced and well travelled. After a decade in the NT I now live, work and study in NSW & occasionally Qld when visiting family.
I hold ✅ full insurance for sits where we have agreed a fee and contract. I have my own ✅ WWCC (police clearance).
Puppy massages are just one of the many complimentary services I provide. Head to my public Facebook page for more information and FAQs. Link available on request/initial contact.
I will spend my days looking after your animals, reading, studying and exercising (morning and evening) with a nice walk or several smaller ones as needed dependent on their stamina. A swim too when possible :) Although it’s lovely to explore the local area, I do this role with the joy of your fur family being comfortable in their home with a loving animal whisperer! I am usually at home most of the day and all night, except for mass on Sundays and occasional visits to the shop & chiro, during sits.
I hold a Cert II in Animal Care. My favourite modules were: enrichment planning for different species and first aid for cats and dogs. It’s reassuring to know there’s lots I’m doing right.
I've loved putting my learning into practice from our classroom animals into pet sitting.
I'm very careful, clean & tidy so will leave your place spick and span!
My expectations are well behaved pets with good boundaries - no pets in the bedroom if they snore.
If this is something your animal(s) are used to & they snore, I'm not the pet sitter for you - thank you for your understanding.
My requirements are simply a secure house in a safe area, a summary of important instructions and to know whether or not you want to be contacted while you're away.
I grew up with dogs, have owned 2 rescue dogs (lab x & blue heeler x at separate times) and have looked after dogs, cats, chooks, reptiles, cattle and ponies.
Previously I lived with & loved 2 dogs (border collie & cavoodle), 2 chooks and a cat.
Previous sits include looking after solo cats and dogs or multiples.
They include tonkanese & domestic cats mainly, and a beautiful 2yr old bull mastiff, an 18 month Hungarian Vizsla (short & wired hair varieties) , toy poodles, king Charles spaniel, sheep, ponies, goats, border collie, cats, labs, the list goes on… frenchies, bitsas, borderdoodle… kelpie/lab X, Weimaraner..
I love nature & animals.
I love learning about their unique characteristics, and find them all highly entertaining & rewarding. After being an educator for almost 20 years, it has been necessary for me to adjust to a different pace of life.
I still enjoy daily routines which can be very important continuity for your fur friends while you're away.
My favourite dog breeds are working/cattle dogs & poodle x. I prefer dogs that do not pull on the lead/reactive dogs. Thank you for your understanding with this.
Let's message/speak on the phone first and see if we're both happy to arrange a meet, I try to meet all animals as it's important that we connect- that they are happy with me in their home!
Thank you for considering me to look after your pets, animals and home.
Please check out my reviews :)
If you would like to contact my previous employer for confirmation of my professional, caring and responsible nature, this can be arranged. Previously as a Teaching Principal, I was solely responsible for a very remote school & reporting maintenance issues in two houses (and school). Also, as line manager, ensuring colleagues maintained their Territory government houses in remote settings. When they were not in the best condition, I ensured they were in a more suitable condition for the next guests. I will leave your home, at the very least, as you left it.
I look forward to speaking with you to see if we're the right fit.
