Nicolas Kai & Sina

Hey!
We are Sina and Nicolas, a couple from Heidelberg, Germany. We‘ve been together since 2015, and started living together in 2021.
We are planning to travel all over Australia starting in late March /early April 2025 for about one year. For this, we are very grateful, that you are considering us for the opportunity to take care of your pets and home, while you enjoy a well-deserved vacation!

We ourselves have been blessed to grow up living with various animals. As such we already have varying amounts of firsthand experience caring for cats, dogs, mice, guinea pigs, bunnies and chickens. However, since we love learning new things, we are also happy to learn about your favorite pet, too!
Furthermore, we love nature and the outdoors in general, so in addition to taking care of your furred, scaled or feathered companions, we are also happy to give the same love and attention to your plants and garden.

A loved home, is a welcoming home, which is why we will always keep your home tidy and cherished for your return.


About us:

One of our first vacations together was to a surfing camp in France. In 2022 we took our first long distance trip, when we traveled to Bali for one Month. One of our shared interests is running; in September 2024, we participated in our first half-marathon!

Nicolas just finished his master’s degree in physics. During his studies at Heidelberg University, he also worked as a barista at a family-owned, Venezuelan specialty coffee shop as part of a marginal part-time job. He is very passionate and curious about all things coffee, in addition to his other interests which include chess, judo, languages and motorcycles.

Sina completed a vocational training as a special needs caregiver, before pursuing her studies in special education. She loves working with children with special needs and is especially eager to teach children with hearing disabilities in the future.
She is also a very active person, who loves swimming, running as well as gardening and cooking.
Besides that Sina is always happy to be around people. In March 2024 she traveled to Thailand with two of her friends from university.
