We have had numerous pets while raising our children, and we have looked after friends' pets (specifically elderly dogs) at our home while they were on holiday and house sat on numerous occasions in Texas, California, Bermuda and New Zealand.

Julie owned a small food gardening business and worked on a 40 acre organic orchard. She loves weeding and tending to plants and veggie gardens.

John had an orchid and succulent collection and is an avid sailor, boater and diver.

We both have experience with home maintenance and small repairs. Our mantra is to always leave a house tidier than when we found it.

We were super lucky to find John and Julie to housesit for us for two weeks over Christmas/New Year. John and Julie took perfect care of our house, garden, and two dogs. They communicated often to keep us up to date. John and Julie are genuinie, trustworthy, caring housesitters. We are incredibly grateful to John and Julie for the piece of mind we were able to have whilst overseas. Thank you so much!

This sit did not take place due to our trip having to be cancelled, and was by mutual agreement between ourselves and the sitters. We chatted on the phone and by text and they were very agreeable and comfortable that we had to cancel. Had the sit been able to go ahead I’m sure they would have been perfect sitters. They were communicative, chatty and an extremely pleasant couple.

I would have no hesitation in booking Julie and John again. Their regular communication was reassuring and I came home to a tidy and clean house with really happy well cared for pets, As well as a hot meal to go with the account of their experience.

We would be delighted to have them back at any time and wish them well with their future Housesits on their new adventure in New Zealand.
