56, Speech-Language Pathologist
Mid-50s, paediatric Speech-Language Pathologist relocating to Melbourne from New Zealand for work. Fully police-checked (January 2024), as this is a requirement of my job. I’m a non-smoker and don’t do drugs. My job in Brighton has been going well, and I am keen to house- and pet-sit closer to the office as much as possible; this means long drives to and from work are outside my comfort zone.
I am a homeowner who knows the importance of the place we call home, and the need to maintain a calm and safe space for pets when I go away and travel. It’s important to know that we can leave our home and pets in good hands.
I will always be reliable, tidy, clean, respectful, and careful of your property.
Comfortable taking care of all types of pets. I’ve been a pet owner my whole life, with all size dogs, cats, and birds, and am also happy to care for fish, reptiles, poultry, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, insects, and arachnids.
Not afraid of working with different types of dogs. They all have their own personality and I am happy to adapt and maintain their routine. I’ve gotten quite a few comments from pet owners I meet on the street, who are pleasantly surprised that their dogs are happy to respond and cozy up to a complete stranger so quickly.
I consider myself a citizen of the world, having grown up in Costa Rica, and then studied and worked in the US before moving to New Zealand 9 years ago, and I am now in Melbourne. I speak fluent English and Spanish, some basic French, and a bit of German and Portuguese; studying Vietnamese at the moment.
