ABOUT US:
Having been the owners of animals, two rescue dogs at different times and a cat (we lost our last dog 18 months ago). We now look after neighbours/friends pets, from time to time; including our friend's dog and cat in Sydney, when we travel within Australia,

While we remain physically active and eager to explore, we miss the companionship of animals. By registering on this site, we hope to reconnect with pets we dearly miss, meet new people, and visit new places.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Lillian
 Early Life: Grew up on a working farm, gaining extensive experience with various animals including
sheep, cattle, milking cows, pigs, horses, chickens, and working farm dogs. This upbringing instilled a deep understanding of animal welfare.
 1980s: Worked on two country estates in the UK, responsible for animal care and domestic duties. Lived on-site, respecting privacy and property.
 1990s: Employed in the pharmaceutical sector, focusing on animal care products marketed through veterinary channels.

Historical Voluntary Work:
 Volunteered at an SPCA charity shop and walked SPCA pound dogs for three years (Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
 Served as an operational crew member for Bay of Islands Coastguard, Search and Rescue, saving lives at sea for five years.
Approved NZ Police check during Coastguard operational work.

Michael
 1970s: Obtained an agricultural qualification from the UK with a certificate in animal husbandry.
 1980s: Worked as a sales representative for an Animal Feed & Seed firm in the UK.
 1990s: Employed by an Animal Health Pharmaceutical company in the UK, specializing in anthelmintics.

Historical Voluntary Work:
 Served as a Coastguard Air Patrol Safety officer for three years.
 Participated in wood chopping activities to raise money for the Fred Hollows Foundation by cutting and delivering firewood.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Having adopted a cat and two rescue dogs, we understand the dedication required to provide a stable and
loving environment, especially for animals needing medical attention, like our West Highland White Terriers.
There is nothing more rewarding than adopting an abused animal, witnessing it grow in confidence, watching it prosper. They truly become an integral part of the family.
