ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Fran! I’m an Architect/Designer working in Melbourne. My journey into full-time housesitting started in 2022 after completing 4 months of traveling and pet-sitting in multiple countries around Europe. I enjoyed my time pet-sitting overseas so much that I wanted to continue the pet-sitting adventures back home in Australia. I have now been housesitting for about 2 years fulltime and have no plans to stop anytime soon, so if you are looking for a local sitter to return, it could be me :)
I am a fully vaccinated, non-smoker who is easy-going, mature, reliable, well-mannered, considerate and tidy. I am an active individual, regularly walking, running or bike riding whenever I can. I enjoy meeting new people and animals, and I love the outdoors so taking fur-friends for long walks will not be a chore!
MY EXPERIENCE
Due to family allergies I was unable to have cats and dogs growing up, but that has not stopped me from loving them! I often jump at the opportunity to look after friends and families fur babies, most recently my friends kitten named Leo (seen in my profile pictures).
At the end of my studies in 2018 I expanded my pet-sitting network in Melbourne through online pet sitting platforms doing casual sits looking after a beautiful dog named Benji, a Ridgeback-Staffy cross, Sandy a rescue dog, and Rupert a Cavoodle.
In my recent overseas pet-sits I was looking after both cats and dogs all with a variety of needs. Wallie was a gorgeous terrier in Basel who required a constant companion as he was dealing with mild separation anxiety. Macarena, Miguel and Oscar were three loving rescue dogs living in an apartment in Tenerife and required 3 walks a day. My last pet-sit was in Copenhagen were I looked after Woody a terrier with a sensitive stomach and his best friend Kenzo the cat.
Growing up I had experience looking after small pets as well; mainly hermit crabs and tropical fish. In my early teens I set up and maintained my own tropical fish aquarium, with a diversity of fish species. I was also lucky enough to have experience around horses as I did horse riding for a few years in my teens.
MY PROMISE
I do not take the responsibility of pet-minding or house-sitting lightly, I promise to treat your pets, home, and precious belongings as if they were my own. I am very responsible and respectful of the homes I am invited into. I take pride in being clean and tidy, and leaving the houses as I have found them. I'm happy to help with small chores around the house, such as collecting mail, putting bins out and watering gardens or pot plants.
I aim to make your time away from your pets as worry free as possible. I would be happy to keep in sync with your pets routines and provide regular updates of the home and pets while you are away.

Fran was absolutely amazing. She took great care of my mini dachshund Chester. I was abroad and could not have picked a more caring and attentive house sitter. My flat was left in a spotless condition. Fran was very thoughtful, keeping me updated with videos and photos and touching base when she thought Chester may need to be taken to the vet. I will definitely be checking in with Fran again when planning my next holiday abroad.
