My name is Yonah Mientjes, and I am a 26-year-old veterinary medicine student currently training to become a veterinarian. I recently completed my bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine. I am currently in a gap year, waiting to start my master’s program. During this time, I will be traveling in Australia from October to June with my boyfriend Mart a 26 year old physical therapist. We have a work visa and are looking for a fun job. We are open to all possible cities and job offers, so we are first looking for a nice place to house sit at the beginning of our journey. This will help us orient ourselves and decide what we think of the city, where else we want to go, and where we would like to stay longer to work. That’s why I am looking for the perfect house-sitting opportunity and believe we are well-suited to take care of your home and animals while you are away.
Due to our love for animals and experience as a pet sitter, I have worked with various species, including dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, ferrets, horses, birds, chickens, pigs, and cows. I am highly committed to the well-being of your pet(s) and would gladly offer my services to ensure they receive the best care while you are away. I am experienced in administering medication, grooming, and handling anxious animals and behavioral issues. A few extra household tasks are no problem for me.

Yonah and Mart sat for us over the Christmas period. We have 3 small dogs, one very senior, one older and one pup. Yonah and Mart did an amazing job looking after them and accomodated all the senior dogs requirements. We got updates regularly and beautiful photographs as well and the dogs seemed to absolutely love both of them.

It was wonderful to have Yonah and Mart stay with my cats while I was away. The cats were very well cared for and the house left clean and tidy. Unfortunately there was some issues with the bathroom plumbing during their stay but they were very accommodating to help in getting it resolved ASAP. Highly recommend them for future pet sits, my cats loved them!
