We are a happy mature couple usually living in Sydney but who enjoy being in different places within Australia.
Having spent six wonderful months house sitting in the Byron Bay area in 2023 in order to spend time with our daughter and family who live in Bangalow, we have now sold our house in Sydney and would love to house sit in the Bangalow/Byron area while we look for a house to buy in that area.
We have experience both hosting House Sitters ourselves and of having house sat in England, Australia and France in the past.
Malcolm is an Honorary Professor of Law and his passion on retirement is gardening, volunteering at a homeless centre and writing obscure articles that no one might ever read.
Dorothy is a retired teacher who has worked with children with developmental needs and also children in regular schools. I have spent my life working within the Rudolf Steiner school systems both in England and here in Australia.
We both enjoy hiking, particularly multi-day hikes, and camping.

We are animal lovers who will delight in taking your dogs for walks each day and giving all your animals our love and care.
We know how important it is to have someone to care for your pets when you are away. We have owned and loved a wonderful English Springer Spaniel who has sadly died, and we have also had several cats, and a rabbit too.
We would welcome the opportunity to look after your home and animals and will take special care of everything.

Dorothy and Malcolm are a delightful couple. We felt very comfortable leaving our pets and home in their care. Their communication was excellent clarifying details even while we were away. They took on the responsibility of our dog and cattle which was amazing. Our home was enjoyed by them and we have come home pleased, to find it immaculate and loved. Highly recommended!

I wish I could give more than five stars! Dorothy and Malcolm looked after our beautiful boy Buddy for six nights and they did such an amazing job, I would have them back in a heart beat. They asked all the right questions before the sit and even came to meet us prior so we could show them around and they could meet Buddy. Dorothy and Malcolm were the perfect housesitters. We met with them a couple of time prior to our housesitting dates which made us feel very comfortable knowing who we were leaving our home and animals with. Our eldest son is very attached to our dog and worried a lot while we were away. Dorothy kindly sent up regular updates with photos and videos which eased his anxiety tremendously. We very much appreciated the way in which Dorothy and Malcolm looked after out much loved 5 month old Jack Russell, Dixie, and our garden. Dorothy and Malcolm are a lovely couple who minded our house and animals for 6 weeks. Although we had not personally met them before their sit, our phone conversations left us confident that they would take good care of our home and our pets.
