Reliable, trustworthy animal loving family with 4 years + of experience house sitting and travelling in 2018 - 2024. We work from home so are flexible to work anywhere.
I worked for 12 years as a vet nurse and Guide Dog trainer so have lots and lots of experience with dog health and behavioural issues. I also worked in many boarding kennels and catteries.
My partner grew up in the country on a farm and is a country boy at heart so we are fine for farm type stays. Our kids get involved and help out. We are very much into sustainability and being self-sufficient and grow our own vegetables so looking after a garden is no problem.
We love animals and have three children (10, 12 & 17 years) so they will get lots of cuddles and love for sure!
We have looked after over 24 homes, including large properties, off grid houses, farms and looked after many animals including emu's, horses, sheep, alpacas, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, turtles, lizards & even snakes! We have looked after puppies and old dogs/cats requiring daily medication/injections. Your home and pets will be well looked after and treated with care at all times.
We are available for house-siting during the 2024 year.
Mel looked after our house over our Easter break. As it was a last minute booking and we didn’t have a chance to meet prior as we do prefer. Mel was confident there would be no problem and there wasn’t . Max was happy and the house was left perfect. We have no hesitation recommending Mel and would happily have her back to our home. Adam did a great job caring for our animals and looking after our home. The animals were happy and fed and that's all I could have asked for. The house was left nice and tidy for our return which we appreciated.

Thanks to Melinda and family for looking after my home and animals so well. I've got a wide variety of animals and felt really confident with them caring for them. They sent questions through when necessary which is great. they also sent some updates and photos. The house looked lovely and clean when I got home. I would be more than happy to have them all come stay again :-).

Melinda, Adam and family looked after our property and house and pets, our pets were appeared very settled, happy and well adjusted on our return. We were very stressed about leaving our little dogs particularly and as newbies to house sitting Melinda and Adam enabled this to be a very positive experience. We would be very happy to have them sit again. They are very organised sitters and confident house sitters.
We were so lucky to find Melinda & Adam. It was a relief to have someone staying in our home and looking after our animals. Being on a farm it can be difficult to get away but Adam, Melinda and their lovely kids made it possible for us to enjoy time away without the worry. Would happily welcome them into our home again next time we go away. Highly recommended.
Melinda and Adam were a pleasure to have. They kept in touch with issues in the house and with dogs, chooks and bees. The house was much neater when we returned than when we left!
Melinda and her family were absolutely fantastic with my home and my very much loved dogs.
My house was cleaner than I left it with beautiful flowers to greet us. I also think my dogs were better behaved too. I would definitely recommend them and have them back.

Melinda and her lovely family were fantastic sitters who gave my pets lots of love and patience. They were clean, responsible and well-suited to the task of caring for a stranger's most valuable possessions.

We didn't get to meet Melinda and her family as they arrived just after we left and departed before we returned but our house was obviously well cared for and wa0 found in the same condition we left it. Much appreciated.
Melinda and her family did a fantastic job of housesitting for us, they were wonderful with all of our pets giving them lots of love and attention and they left our house in a spotless condition. We would not hesitate to ask them to housesit for us again.
