46, Yoga and Pilates Instructor

Robert and I have spent the majority of our adult lives paying off mortgages and caring for our own many pets/rescues whilst maintaining and renovating our own properties. We have worked hard all our lives, and two years ago we decided it was time to explore different cultures and places whilst still having the pleasure of being around beautiful animals.
We packed all our belongings up and placed them in storage on the Gold Coast and joined two House Sitting platforms, one for travelling within Australia and one for travelling internationally.
We are very house proud, ensuring that things are left the way we found them. We enjoy spending time in nature, walking along the beach or bush trails or exploring neighbourhoods, local parks and gardens and places of natural beauty. Both Robert and I are plant based, for our health and for the animals.
I (Melissa) am a singer songwriter/comedian, and spend many hours at home working on new material. I play the ukulele and perform my comedy songs locally. I also spend many hours a week video editing and creating You Tube travel vlog videos of all our adventures travelling the world. You can see our channel on You Tube: "Rob & Mel's Travel Diary." I am also a Yoga & Pilates instructor, and nutritionist as I am very passionate about health and Fitness.
Robert is an avid animal lover and enjoys walking and exploring the arts and cultural scene of wherever he is at. He works with his clients either via zoom or phone from home, which makes him location independent. He is growing his online business and spends time on the computer daily.
We now house sit full time, between Australia and Overseas. When there is a gap of house sitting, you will find us on a different adventure such as exploring the Alps of Switzerland, the waterfalls of Croatia's national parks, or visiting an Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand. But once an adventure is over, it's nice to come back and feel at home somewhere. This is why we love house sitting so much, feeling the unconditional love that animals provide melts our hearts.
The hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye! We are lucky that many sits have become repeat sits and we have had the opportunity to return.
