Hi, my name is Benoit I am a Belgian who emigrated to Australia over 50 years ago.

I lost my wife to a long-term illness in 2021 and now without the daily responsibilities of caring for her I would like to get out and explore the country and use my livestock skills.

I have owned my own sheep, alpacas and cattle and so can give others the chance to take a break without worrying about the competency of those keeping an eye on their livelihood and companions.
Before that we spent twenty years in the fashion industry.

In 1987 we purchased a farm and bred English Leicester's and a few cattle's until we discovered alpacas in 1990. Although we started with 4 alpacas over time it grew to over 200.

We both involved ourselves with National and regional committees, but the best part of our venture was the breeding and the time we spent caring for our beautiful animals giving us a huge experience in animal health and treatments.
In 2010 we sold our stud due to my wife's poor health and moved to Warrnambool where I now reside.

I enjoyed my birds and parrots constructed a large aviary to keep finches and parrots until we moved following the sale of our stud.

I have always shared my life with different animals from German Sheppard's to Weimaraner (4) and my last being a Long Hair Wei.
I also owned a German Short Hair and a Border Collie.
Cats have also been part of my life the last one being a Russian Blue.

I love gardening, and in the 80's along with my late wife, spent six years transforming 2 acres into a classical garden in the Dandenong's. I still retain this passion today, but the garden is now much smaller. I am still very happy to get my hand in soil and enjoy caring for gardens.

I am fully vaccinated, and I am happy to comply with all COVID protocols as they stand at the time.
I am fit and active walking regularly every morning as well as gardening and if lucky do a bit of fishing.

I have a "Working with Children" clearance as part of the requirement for teaching conversational French for a local college and I am also happy to provide a Police check if required.

I am a non-smoker/drinker, I am trustworthy, responsible, clean, and respectful. I am now able to travel to see some of the places I haven't yet visited in return I would be very happy to take care of your home and the animals you cherish as if they were mine.
