Retired - jack of most trades
A professional couple (of bushies), recently retired. We are non smokers, keen gardeners and enjoy the outdoors . We have travelled extensively and worked across a broad spectrum of disciplines throughout Australia and overseas.
Shelly’s a Brisbane girl with a background in art (textiles), early childhood development, disability & community support, retail & administration… Daire grew up on a prickle farm in rural Victoria, picking spuds and raising poddy calves, worked in dairy, wheat/sheep, as a Firey & a deckhand, before rewarding careers in aviation/tourism, community development and support coordination.
We spent many years working in very remote desert regions of Australia, lived in Ireland for some years and more recently spent the last 10 years in Cairns.
Along with Aussie/Celtic folk music, flying, boating and easy walks, we enjoy exploring new places & cultures. At our life stage one more adventure would be worth considering.
We have an old 4x4 mobile home and plan to spend the next few years traveling the long paddock. We'd love to stop and help out along the way ... happy to consider any opportunities, the more remote, the better......... we are currently in the Atherton Tablelands and plan to head off the beaten track in 2025
We highly recommend Shelly and Daire as they took wonderful care of our home and loved pets. Our holiday was so much more relaxing and enjoyable not having a worry about our house, garden and pets. It was such a pleasure coming home to see how beautifully everything had been kept and surprised to find gifts and little treats. Thank you so much Shelly and Daire we are so extremely grateful.
We have had a lot of house-sitters over the years, and Shelly and Daire are up there with the best. They looked after our house and animals so well - Daire even did a bit of carpentry to fix up of the guinea pig cage whilst we were gone. They left the house spotless, and our dogs somewhat depressed in mourning of them leaving, sitting on the driveway looking out for their return - clearly they had been very well looked after.

Shelley and Darry went well and truly beyond most people's level of care. They treated my home like their own. When I returned it was like I hadn't left. They complied with everything I requested; no visitors and security of my home was paramount. They followed all the security instructions of which there are many alarms, locks, keys and remotes. Great couple, went above and beyond. Daire fixed things around the house and my animals were looked after and happy. They had to deal with severe weather and storms and were marvellous. Thank you so much! I highly recommend them.
Shelly and Daire were amazing! The dogs were well cared for and I think the house is cleaner than when we left. Couldn't recommend them more
Shelly and Darry looked after our home and pets for two weeks and we're fantastic housesitters who we would definitely recommend. It was so lovely to come home to happy pets, our home and pool were sparkling clean and Shelly and Darry had left us some treats including a delicious Shepherd's pie ready to reheat for dinner on our return.
The care and attention to our home and pets and the special treats were really so thoughtful and such a perfect end to our holiday.

Thank you Shelley and Daire so very much for caring for our home and all our fur babies. We came home to an extremely clean and tidy house. Our pets were happy and had been well cared for. Our plants indoors and out had been watered. Our house was spotless.

Fantastic house sitters. House was absolutely immaculate when we got home and our dog Charlie was happy. Would recommend these sitters for anyone.

What a beautiful couple...i was in England and we kept in contact...looked after Billy and Ella so well...also the house was so tidy when i got back i thought i'd gone to the wrong house!! I would recommend anyone who wants a House sitter contact these lovely people
