WHY ARE WE HOUSE SITTING?
Over the next couple of years, starting from late June 2022 and onwards, Valentina and Maria will be house-sitting in and around Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast in order to help Mum (Valentina) save up for a secure retirement. Mum arrived in Australia from Ukraine in 1997, and has had the tough gig of single-handedly raising three kids. She is the kindest, most generous person my family knows and now that she's getting close to retirement, with very little superannuation or savings, my sister and I are looking to improve her future. We came up with the idea to house/petsit for a few years after Sophie (other sister) starting a side job as a professional pet sitter.
We are incredibly grateful to be considered for any house / petsits that can help us achieve our goal.
We are SO EXCITED (and already LOVING) this adventure!
ABOUT US:
We are a small house-sitting family of 2, and the perfect sitters for you.
Valentina (Mum) is 61 years old. She works part-time as an Aged Care worker.
Maria is 21 years old, and is studying Pathology Collection from home.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Here are some reasons why we think we would be the perfect sitters for you:
* We are very tidy, clean, and courteous.
* We don't smoke, party, or drink.
* We will look after your home as though it were our own (e.g., regular cleaning and maintenance, plants watered, lawn mowed if necessary, hedges / bushes trimmed).
* We will collect your mail and ensure bins are taken out and in.
* We will happily look after any resident pets (we have a lifetime of experience owning and caring for cats (indoor and outdoor), dogs (giant, big, and small) (we have had a rescue dog and a rescue cat too!), fish, birds, mice, and guinea pigs). After house sitting since June 2022, we now have additional experience looking after a snake, chickens, and geckos.
* We have experience administering medication to pets (i.e., ear drops, tablets, insulin, liquid medicine).
* Maria has experience caring for horses and exercising them. She previously volunteered her time at Horse In Mind Inc.
* We are quiet and friendly neighbours.
* We are honest and open communicators; you can always expect updates from us.
* We have experience maintaining pools.
* We have Green Thumbs.
* We are reliable and responsible.
* We have excellent references available.
* We will house sit for the full length that you require.

PLEASE NOTE*
*We value your privacy and will never breach it unless we absolutely have to (i.e., there is an emergency). We expect the same respect in return. For example, having a friend drop by unannounced or someone enter the house without our knowledge / permission may be an invasion of our privacy.
Undisclosed interior surveillance cameras are not appreciated either. If there is to be an active interior surveillance system the homeowner must disclose this on their sitter wanted ad or during the interview. We hope you understand.

Maria and Val house/pet sit my 2 dogs recently (Jul&Aug 2024) for 5 weeks. it was our first time using a service, Maria and Val made us feel comfortable from day 1 with a meet and greet & open communication, nothing was too hard for them. My dogs bonded with them in that first greeting aswell. Maria & Valentina are fantastic! I would 100% recommend them. They took the time to come and meet us and our dogs prior to leaving and had good communication. We came home to an extremely clean house and some lovely gifts. Most importantly we came home to two very happy and healthy Labradors. Our boys dont really believe in personal space and can be a bit crazy, but Maria & Valentia took it all in their stride. Thanks again!

Maria and Valentina were amazing. The house was absolutely spotless when we returned home with fresh flowers and chocolates left for us. The dogs looked happy and very well looked after as did our bird. Communication was excellent with photos and updates. They treated my home and pets as if they were their own. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars I would. They were just terrific. Lovely ladies, very professional, very tidy and my dogs clearly loved them.

We came home to very happy puppies - Jazz and Zoey. Our home was cleaner than we had left it, there were gifts and an extensive note of thanks for us plus some breakfast foods. Communication had been very easy and we had lots of photos to keep us happy while travelling, Highly recommended.

Sophia, Maria and Valentina were fantastic and took wonderful care of our beagles and our home. We received regular photos and notes from Sophia regarding our beagles and they were quiet and respectful houseguests. Our home was sparkling clean and our pups well looked after. I am so very grateful I found this beautiful family to look after my house and dogs. We went on a 3 week overseas family holiday and I couldn't be happier with how my house and beloved dogs were looked after. In particular, one of my (4) dogs is currently a foster one. It was a pleasure having Sophie & Maria & Valentina looking after our house and pets. They communicated very well with us while we were away. The pets were looked after very well and were spoilt. They left the house in perfect condition. They had also purchased Milk, Bread and some other items for our return. I could not recommend them more highly. We would definitely have them back again to look after the place when we go away in the future.

Sophie, Valentina and Maria looked after our house and pets while we took a 2 week holiday. We met them all before the 'sit' and knew they would be reliable and conscientious. When we were away, Sophie communicated with us by sending us SMS updates and photos which provided us with the reassurance that everything was ok. When we returned, the house was spick and span and the dogs and puss were clearly well looked after, newly brushed and happy. I'd be happy to recommend these ladies to anyone.
Sophie,Maria and Valentina sat our little Maltese Shitzu Bindi for 4 days. They were lovely people and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting their pets or house looked after. Bindi was happy when we returned and had been brushed and was clean. The house was left spotless and tidy. We were sent beautiful photos of our girl. Honestly if I could have asked these ladies to move in, I would have.
We received constant communication of photos, videos and messages which was so appreciated. When our dog Calvin got an ear infection, they advised us as soon as they noticed and look our furbaby to the vet for us quickly.
When we arrived home the house was cleaner than it has ever been (and we have a regular cleaner!), fresh flowers had been placed and a home made cake left. I can not believe how incredible they all ... MORE
I highly recommend Sophie and Maria, as housitters after our recent experience. They proved to be reliable, caring, and thoroughly competent in dealing with unexpected appliance breakdown. I was reassured that our dog was well cared for by frequent photos and great communication. Our house was very clean and tidy on return. Thank you for looking after my home.
