Hello.
By way of introducing myself, there are a few things you might like to know. I am a non-smoker and non-drinker.
As a mature lady I have always been a dog owner and had a range of different types of pets. Most of my life has involved raising them over the years, owning and caring for two Rottweilers, a German shepherd and a maltese for their entire lives. So you know I can understand dogs of different ages and their many possible needs, not to mention their personalities! I grew up with a corgi, and 3 ‘bitzers’ who also had puppies. Over the years raising my own family in Queensland for 30 years, we have had (besides the dogs) chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, budgies and at one time a horse.

Now living in Kiama Downs, I have experience housesitting an adorable young golden retriever on the sunshine coast, and locally an old independent beagle and an intelligent kindly staffy near where I live. References are available from these lovely people.
As an animal and nature lover in general, I am also very aware of native wildlife, especially around my own property when they need help & I love the variety of birds especially.
I am a non-smoker, non-drinker, and I am usually heading to bed by 9pm! So I am a morning person. I am not currently employed, but hold small classes of qigong and other types of workshops when of interest. I am an ex-dental assistant & teacher aide so order, hygiene and cleanliness is a given. I am also conscious of safety concerns & those of the animals. I am a nature lover in general, of trees, gardens and plants. I am originally an Illawarra girl with aging family here, but still often travel to visit my daughter in Queensland and also housesit for her with her ducks, chickens and blue healer.
However, I will add that at my age now, I prefer houses with minimal stairs and quieter or well behaved dogs to sit with. I also do not sit for more than a 2 week period.
I would also appreciate conversation around the cover of some of my costs to help me get to you.
So, I will love to housesit for you and have the opportunity to spend valuable time caring for your pets, as I do miss my dogs very much and understand how it feels to leave them for a while. I will say that while I housesit, I keep in touch with the owners with updates and photos during my stay, if they like. I am happy to chat in person for us all to meet before we decide.
