My name is Laurelle, and I moved to Hobart just over 18 months ago after living in the beautiful Northern Territory for the last 20 years. I originally hail from Melbourne. I love Tassie for the same reasons I love the NT - small, friendly communities, stunning landscapes, and amazing hikes! I was mum to my 17yo cat, Albert, until he sadly passed 2 years ago. I love cats & dogs, and have looked after all shapes, sizes, and temperaments - from the very shy to the ones with the most energy! There is nothing better than a pet cuddle and helping them feel cozy, safe, and relaxed. I have also looked after chickens, rabbits, and even a sheep! I love gardening, so keeping your plants alive is no problem. I always leave a place tidier than I found it (so my past homeowners tell me)!

I have done lots and lots of housesitting over the past 5 years while travelling for work - mostly through word of mouth, so I can put you in touch with plenty of references. I joined Aussie Housesitters in 2022 and housesat for my first 3 months in Hobart.

I have rented in South Hobart for 18 months (can provide a reference via the property manager), but am keen to try out some new areas around Hobart when my lease finishes in March. I love exploring new places, and am enjoying settling into Hobart while I look for my own little place to call home.

Laurelle did a wonderful job of caring for my young dog Capt'n Jack and very chatty budgie Sook for three months whilst I visited family in Italy. Laurelle kept me up to date with photos and videos of their exploits whilst I was away and spoiled them both royally. I came home to a beautifully clean unit and a freshly made bed; which was very welcome after nearly 40 hours travelling to get home. Laurelle was the housesitter everyone hopes for , we felt instantly comfortable leaving our cats and our home into her care. She gave us frequent updates on our fur babies and I know they were loved and well looked after , The house was spotless when we came home .Would definitely recommend her and we love to have her back when we go away again

Laurelle sat our house and cared for our elderly cat for 3 weeks while we visited family overseas. She was an excellent communicator sending frequent updates and the cat was happy and the house was in great condition when we returned. We'd love to have Laurelle sit for us again if she is available.

The Sylvester's Mount Nelson. We were so happy with Laurelle, this is the first time we have used a house sitter and Laurelle kept us up to date with emails and photos of our beloved 14 year old cat, she also fed our fish in two aquariums, but the bird seed out in 3 bird feeders every morning. We also had numerous indoor and outdoor plants which were well watered. Laurelle did a wonderful job making friends with our cats and taking care of our home. I thoroughly recommend her for those looking for someone who is kind and reliable and will give you and stress-free experience. We came back to a sparkling clean house and very happy pets. Highly recommend.
