I've been housesitting for around a year now while on a career break and doing some study. I have experience looking after dogs, cats and other pets, plus plant watering and garden maintenance. Please see the reviews on this site.

I'm a clean, kind and conscientious person, and I want everything to go smoothly while you enjoy your holiday. I'll keep you up to date with photos, texts etc.

I can supply a police check and beyond looking after your pets and garden, keeping your house clean and tidy, checking the mail etc. I'm happy to do other tasks during my stay - let me know what your requirements are. I'm also careful about energy consumption. I enjoy going for walks during study breaks so I'm happy to walk dogs for as long as they need.

A bit about me: I'm from Canberra originally, but I've also lived near Gympie (in Queensland), in Sydney, Melbourne and the UK, and I've done plenty of travel. My experiences of housesitting have all been positive so far, and all of the feedback I've received from hosts has been as well.

I'm still quite careful with COVID, and I usually wear a mask around people. My vaccines are up to date. Please let me know if you'd like me to take a RAT before meeting in person.

Peter was a wonderful house sitter. We came back to a very tidy home and garden and a very contented cat. We were so happy with Peter that we asked if he was available for a future sit but unfortunately was already booked for the dates required. We would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a house sitter in the ACT area.

We returned yesterday after three months away from Canberra. Peter cared for our house and chickens perfectly and was great at communicating with us while away. He is by far the best housesitter we have had over the years. If it was possible to give him more than five stars we most certainly would! We hope Peter will be available next year to house sit for us again.

Peter is fantastic, the absolute ideal house and pet sitter. He is extremely conscientious and considerate, always prompt and thorough in his communications, detail oriented and very clean and tidy. Peter texted right away with any irregularities or questions he encountered with our home and pets, and he sent us lovely photos of our doggos having fun on walks with him so we knew they were in good hands. We would be very pleased to have Peter sit for us anytime!

Peter was an excellent choice for looking after our elderly cat Silky and keeping the garden and pot plants watered. Everything was in great shape when we returned and Silky looked relaxed and well cared for. He took the time to note how we like things done and sent us regular photos. We would definitely ask him to help us out again.
