We are retired school teachers in our early 70s who are looking for short and longer term stays. We are non smokers who take pride in our house and garden.
We are both active and can walk dogs, cuddle cats, feed birds and chooks as well as keeping your house pristine.
We have completed a number of house sits and have done repeat sits arranged privately. References are available from these owners.
We look forward to new adventures and hearing from you.

Thank you so much Ruth and Ken for looking after our animals and house. We were able to enjoy our overseas holiday without having to worry about anything. We received regular updates and when we returned there was even food in the fridge for the midnight munchies and milk for the morning coffee. We would have you in our house anytime again! And I hope we will :-)

Ruth and Ken took excellent care of our pets and home. They sent photos and took our dog on walks. I came home to a clean house. Ruth was a very good communicator and I felt my dog, cat and home were safe and being looked after well by Ruth and Ken.

Ruth and Ken - The most perfect house sitters! The communication was excellent prior to the sit and during the sit. They messaged us to give updates and sent us some lovely photos of our pups having fun, just what we needed to see. We returned to a clean home (like no one had lived in it) some chocolates/ bottle wine and two very happy pups! If you want a stress-free house sitters - I would highly recommend Ruth and Ken. How wonderful it was to come home after being almost 6 weeks away to find the place lovely and clean, and a welcome note along with a vase of fresh flowers. And that the bed had been made up so we could have a sleep when the jet lag got to us was also a great relief. These touches can make a big difference - but the best part was about the care of our cat, Portia. Ruth and Ken have done an exceptional job in caring for our house over the last 12 weeks. They have been very flexible to suit our arrangements and nothing has been a problem for them. Communication whilst we were away was ongoing on a regular basis. On our return we entered a spotless house that they meticulously maintained and zero maintenance was required from us in the garden - mowing, pruning and garden rubbish removal had all been done. They made our holiday stress free knowing that Winston was being looked after with such care. When we arrived home a lovely note was left by them and the house was immaculate. We were so happy that Ruth and Ken agreed to housesit our apartment over Christmas. They were so considerate and treated our apartment so carefully, including our little cat Elaine. We could communicate easily and appreciated their flexibility regarding timing changes due to COVID updates. We returned to a delightful platter in the fridge and a spotless apartment and balconies.
