Hi there, I'm Rachael :)

I'm 43 years young and I have always had a love for animals.

My Milly girl (see profile picture) sadly passed away in April of 2020 at the age of 14. At this stage, I haven't been able to bring myself to own a new pet out of loyalty to Milly but I do very much enjoy animals and so I figure that caring for other people's pets is the next best thing to owning one myself.

I have a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology and have been working in the community services field for a number of years.
I now have a work from home role so can be at your home with your pets for majority of my stay (I would require an internet connection during my stay for work purposes if possible).

I am a Mum to one child. He is now 23 and lives and works in Melbourne (he’s the IT guru of in our family!).

My first house sit was in Boonooroo (a small coastal town near to Maryborough). This was a private house sit - it was for my best friend's Mum. I hadn't planned on doing it again at the time but I really enjoyed the experience and I have now done a couple more house sits via house sitting websites and am quite keen to continue on with more :)

I am based in the Brisbane area but I'm fairly open-minded with where I travel to at the moment (as long as I have reception for work purposes).

Rachael was absolutely amazing! I was so nervous to trust someone else to look after my two cats (especially as one is highly anxious). However, Rachael put my mind completely at ease! Her communication was fantastic (including regular updates and photos/videos of the kitties!), she kept my house so perfectly clean and was so thoughtful and kind. But the best thing ever was, both cats warmed to her immediately. She sent a video of my highly anxious cat purring away happily on her lap on ... MORE

Rachael took great care of my fussy cat, paying attention to her needs and security (preventing her from escaping). Rachael went out of her way to ensure our home was tidy and clean on our return, even taking washing off the line, and folding everything. I have no hesitation in recommending Rachael to care for your pets.

Really polite, good communication, house was really clean at the end. Pets (two cats and dog) recieved lots of cuddles. Unfortunately my dog only received one walk around the block over a 6 night stay. Would recommend her for cat owners and dog owners who's dog does not require any walks, I.e. senior.

Rachel was wonderful from start to finish. She was happy and so lovely to deal with, the house was perfect and she even brought in and folded our weeks washing. Cali and Marco were happy and relaxed when we returned. We really appreciated Rachel looking after our home and would welcome her back any time.

Rachael was fantastic to deal with. Easy communication the whole time. The dogs seemed to enjoy her company and the house was kept in perfect order. Would highly recommend Rachael, would be happy to have her look after the pups again.
