Relaxed and easy. ( Neurotically clean ).

71, Retired

74, Physician

I am retired, married to a Physician who refuses to retire... In a normal world, I do a great deal of travelling, this has been curtailed severely over the past couple of years... Obviously.
I have a lovely home in Queensland, with one old Dachshund, and have used Aussie Housesitters to mind our own dogs for some years.
I have decided to become a HouseSitter and perhaps travel a little around Australia looking after someone else's pets while my husband is here looking after ours. .
I am incredibly clean, tidy, love dogs and cats, quite used to sorting out an Aviary, and will look after pretty well anything except snakes... I am terrified of snakes . Oh, not a fan of rats either.
I am happy to garden, weed, water, take dogs for walks, have cats all over me, while I read, and look after your home as though it were mine..
You can see mine in my profile for when I want a sitter .
I'm happy to come anywhere in Australia, ,

Although originally from Sydney, I have also lived in Melbourne, Fremantle, Cairns, Adelaide, and now south-east Queensland.
I have friends and family in all of those places and am familiar with them. Going to any of them is very easy .
Oh, forgot to mention, I also lived in Wellington ,New Zealand, for 12 years, attending both School and Polytech there, and am still quite familiar with the city and suburbs there.
More than happy to travel to NZ, closer than Perth.

I have a current Police Check, a Blue Card ( Suitability to work with Children) and am a JP( Qual).
I am a non smoker or drinker, but not necessarily boring.

I am happy to jump on a plane and just come

Sadly, owing to a neurological condition which is messing with my eyes, I can no longer drive. This makes me reliant on public transport, so a city sit is always better for me. That said, if it is a Country place with good Uber and Cabs, I dont rule it out.

My Covid vaccinations are up to date, as are those of my Husband.
There may be times when he is on leave when you may like to have both
of us, while another Aussie Housesitter is at our place. .
He likes nothing more than a good Ride on Mower, power tools and a Whippersnipper. Me, not so much.

Although fairly hefty in years, I still think I'm 19 in my head and so I am not an old lady. I have plenty of energy and I'm able to do most things. Don't be scared because I'm old.

Sandra and Steve were absolutely amazing. There was great communication throughout the sit. Came home to a very happy pooch who is normally quite anxious. There was a fridge full of food all made by Sandra. Can’t recommend them more highly. Thank you again Sandra and Steve!! Any inquiries are more than welcome.

TRICIA (Herne Hill VIC, Jul 2024 - 2 weeks 6 nights)
Sandra was fabulous, everything you could hope for in a sitter and much more, her care of Peggy and my home was above and beyond, communication was also fabulous, it’s hard to find someone that loves your pet like you do and Sandra was all that and more, Sandra even left food for us on our return which is so lovely but not expected, I know 100 percent my girl was cared for like we do and would 100 percent recommend Sandra to anyone looking for a kind caring sitter, she is welcome back anytime ... TRACY (Robina QLD, Oct 2024 - 1 week 6 nights)
We could not be more pleased with the house/pet sit from Sandra & Stephen. We came home to a lovely prepared dinner, a clean house and 5 beautiful, calm dogs. Sandra and Stephen went beyond our expectations with some gardening and repairs. We can not praise them enough; a lovely couple and if they lived closer would be good friends. We hope to see them again in the near future.

TERRI (Port Lincoln SA, Sep 2024 - 1 week 6 nights)
Sandra is by far the best house sitter I've ever had and I always felt confident my home was in good hands. Communication was excellent and she left the house in an immaculate condition. She even restocked the fridge to ensure we had food for when we returned. Well and truly beyond what I expected. I will definitely be contacting her again when we travel next and hope she will pay us a repeat visit. As an extra bonus, she is a hoot! You will love her.

GIM (Caulfield North VIC, Oct 2022 - 2 weeks 2 days)
Sandra was great in every way - lots of communication, Pippa and the chooks were cared for very well and the house was left in an immaculate condition - will have no hesitation inviting Sandra back and recommend her unreservedly (but with a touch of jealousy) to others
