We are Anton and Kelsey Van Veen, a Christian American couple living in Australia since the start of 2023. We love surfing, travelling, hiking, reading, and fishing (mostly Anton). We both grew up with various animals and have personally looked after their needs (mostly dogs and cats, but also fish, rats, birds, goats, and horses). Kelsey has house-sat for numerous families, including caring for various dogs and cats. Since we’ve been married, we have dog and house-sat at an assortment of homes here in Australia and in the United States.
Kelsey was a swim teacher and is currently pursuing her dream job by earning a Master's in Teaching Primary in person at the University of Sunshine Coast. She works part-time as a Teacher's Aide on her days off Uni but plans on doing most of her studying at home. Anton is pursuing a Master’s in Teaching Secondary in Maths and Design Technology. He had his own building business back in California and is capable and equipped to address any unforeseen housing issues that might arise.
We both live a healthy, active lifestyle and enjoy taking walks as much (or more) as your pups do. Kelsey does not drink, and we both do not smoke or vape. We are clean, mature, reliable, kind, honest, friendly, enthusiastic, and will treat your home, neighbours, and pets with respect. We also do a thorough cleaning before you come back to ensure you come home to a fresh space.
We are looking to house and pet sit in the Sunshine Coast area while we sort out long-term housing and would love to have the opportunity to love on and care for your home and pets. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you 😊
We could not have asked for better house sitters. Great communication, friendly, reliable, house was immaculate when we got home but most importantly our girls were so well looked after and it was obvious the dogs loved Kelsey and Anton!!

I can't recommend Kelsey and Anton enough! They took exceptional care of our home and fur babies whilst we were away. Our animals were happy and well-loved, and our home was spotless upon my return. I have tried to write this review a few times but have been so close to tears I have had to put it off.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Aside from being generally amazing people, they took care of our home and our pets with care and attention that you can only dream about.
Kelsey communicated regularly, only sending photos of the pets once a week at our request (or the kids would get too homesick for them). It included an unexpected trip to the vet and ... MORE
Kelsey & Anton were great,
They took excellent care of our dog, they brought him swimming almost every day ( his favourite hobby!) I received daily photographs of Toby (dog) which was fabulous while overseas.,
Our home was left sparkling clean & tidy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kelsey & Anton.
Kelsey and Anton are both so friendly, we got to know them very well before they stayed at our house. Our dog Maggie was so well looked after and got plenty of exercise. Our house and garden was immaculate when we returned. They had bought some flowers for us as a welcome home gift. I would definitely recommend them as we couldn’t be more delighted with their stay.
Could not recommend kelsey and anton enough. Such lovely people! They sent us regular updates for our dog alley, took her on her walks, kept the house absolutely spotless :) we came home to the house clean as a whistle, bedding washed and a very relaxed dog. Kelsey & Anton did a tremendous job taking care of our dog Koda, Yabbi and fish. Koda was clearly happy with both Anton & Kelsey and had formed a beautiful relationship with them.
Their communication was great including updates and pictures and checking in about any changes or questions they had.
They were kind, respectful and lovely overall. We would love to have them back again!

Anton and Kelsey were amazing. From our initial meet up, we knew they were the best fit for our dogs. They took them for walks to the beach, gave us photo updates and looked after our home so well. Highly recommended.

Communication was outstanding so available to discuss any concerns we had and also as our dog had surgery the week prior to us going away.
Kelsey and Anton recently looked after our fur babies and our home for 10days whilst we were on an overseas family holiday. We felt very at ease before and during our trip. Kelsey and Anton were warm and friendly, and communication was great! We returned to an immaculate home and happy pets.
